Troyer's Construction

Mr. Troyer did his best to accommodate all members of household within the budget for the roof. That was no easy task. He answered questions and addressed any concerns or misunderstandings with politeness and professionalism. The metal roof was installed over a flat roof on a 2-car garage which has been leaking, on and off, for many years. Although he could not warranty the labor because of the pitch of the roof, he is very willing to work with us in the future should we have any problems. He was confident, however, upon completion, that there should be none. My only disappointment is the front was not built up as much as I assumed to guarantee drainage from front to back; however, that was probably a misunderstanding on my part, and Roy believes that will be the case. Mr. Troyer and his crew were prompt, courteous and professional, and completed the job when scheduled even though they worked through the rain. Although I thought the cost was a bit high, he was recommended by a close acquaintance and has excellent reviews here. I am pleased with the job he and his men did and would not hesitate to recommend Troyer's Construction.

2nd Review since I was unable to edit my original review. Mr. Troyer came back and corrected the issue with the gutter guard. I appreciated his prompt response and willingness to help. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Changed roof material from asphalt to metal for the same price.A crew of 4 showed up at 8:am on august 3rd job was completed at 2:pm Including gutters.Everything was cleaned up. It was a pleasure towork with Marvin his forman.

Mr. Troyer went up to our roof and measured to be sure what materials will be needed. Detailed on what the plans was for putting on the steel roof. Competive pricing. Excellent clean up. Mr. Troyer made sure my wife and I were happy and satisfied with the roof. Our neighbors were very impressed with the job also. It really made our house stand out.

Troyer was very prompt and thorough on the estimating. Even when hampered by the wet weather, they still managed to complete the roof repair and clean up in the same week he projected. They took particular care to correct, or work around, many of the old house's idiosyncrasies and performed some tasks not foreseen to ensure the job was done correctly. In the end, the cost was below what I had projected and well within the estimate. I would not hesitate to to use Troyer's Construction for any future projects they would take on and I would recommend them to anybody.

Roy was professional and prompt. He showed up when he said he would and his crew did as well. The crew worked hard and fast. However, they had some practices that seemed questionable in my mind. Although it is normal to lay metal roofing over a single layer of shingles, they tossed the scrap shingles from the vent and edges between the slats that they screwed the metal roof to and then covered them with the metal roof. Doesn't seem professional in that regard. I had asked that the moss on the shingles be cleaned off and it was not and I was told it wouldn't matter. They covered right over it. They installed a gutter guard on one gutter as quoted and requested. I assumed they would clean the gutter before installing the guard. A gutter guard is useless on a plugged up gutter right? My mistake. They did not clean it. When I called about the gutter overflowing, Roy came out and unplugged the gutter himself. I once again assumed he would clean the entire gutter, but he did not. As a result, it plugged up again during the next rain and now overflows again. These guys are good. They work hard and fast. Materials seem to be good quality. They will do what you ask but you MUST be specific and cannot assume anything. They will do EXACTLY what you ask and nothing more. I strongly recommend watching the entire project to make sure EVERYTHING you request and pay for is being done or corners will be cut. If you question why they are doing what they do, the answers make it seem as if it is standard practice. They did a good job with the roof. I felt they were in a hurry to get done and off to the next job and were looking for ways to make it faster and cheaper for them. Such as not taking scrap with them that could be hidden with he new roof. I would recommend to a friend or neighbor but I would caution them to watch and make sure the job is being done they way you want it done. My gutter still overflows!

They were the low bidder, scheduled our job promptly, showed up as scheduled with a crew of five, finished the job in one day, and our new metal roof looks wonderful..

They were very helpful in deciding the best approach to my needs. I received multiple quotes and Troyer's was best by a significant amount. Roy showed up promptly for the scheduled estimate. On the day of replacement they were on the site bright and early. Once they started they continued to work non-stop until the job was completed. I believe I received a quality job with quality workmanship at a good price. Troyer Construction will be on first call list for future projects. I have already asked them to quote additional work.
