Taylor-Made Handyman

Run from this guy. He has a criminal background and is not certified. I did not get the doors I asked for installed and he refused to order the correct doors. Doors he installed do not fit. One door was jammed in so hard the interior molding around the doors pulled apart. He left holes under the french doors. He put a column/large post on front porch and if you lean on it, it will move and fall down. He wanted money upfront for supplies so like an idiot I did that. He has not waterproofed and stained my deck he built, and he has not painted the posts and column. He did a crappy job staining my front door. There is saw dust mixed in with the stain. He only stained one side of the door. He did not replace rotten/deteriorating/damaged door facings. He did not put metal lock brackets on the wrong doors he installed. The door that is jammed in will no longer open and the french doors are so hard to open the rubber weather seal at the bottom is pulling away from the door.

Overall it is very frustrating. The wrong doors were inserted and are too big. I showed Taylor the doors I wanted which were french doors with panes between two window panes and he put french doors with no panes and only a single sheet of glass. No metal lock brackets were placed. Rotten casings around doors not replaced. Doors open up opposite of what old doors did. Interior molding was damaged and cracked when new doors were inserted. The wood around the French doors was cut too big and now there is a gap that will allow for water to flow under the door and allow for wood to rot. The doors wood decking, and the wood on the front porch have been painted. The front door was stripped and restained but when restained it was done with sawdust still on the door. The casing around this door is rotten and was not replaced. I asked for receipts for everything purchased before projects started and Taylor told me his employee lost them. He did send me an itemized statement which he changed when I questioned him. I asked about the doors and could not get any info on where he ordered them. I looked on the doors and found info and researched the company and found out it is no longer in business. Side and French doors open up on opposite sides than my old doors. The doors are hard to open and are too big, Weather stripping on the bottom doors is tearing apart.

Met the owner Taylor first, he came out , gave me an estimate. Very friendly, personable and professional. Explained what was required and needed to get the results we wanted. Told him I had some else also coming to give me an estimate, I will let him know. Long story short, I decided on his company. He sent Johnathan, he was just as professional, personable, and knowledgeable as Taylor. Did a wonderful job. I will use them again, not only do they do pressure washing, I going to have them repair my screens to my screened in porch.
