They are extremely expensive and do a lot of commercial work so their code standard is to bring things up to the highest code level possible so that their reputation and record is spotless. This cost me a lot more than it would have if I had hired a residential electrician. The example is that I had a short in an electrical switch which caused the breaker in my electrical panel to trip. I believe a residential electrician would have said that the breaker switch is fine to move forward with for normal home use. The Sylvester Electric electrician told me he had to replace the breaker since it had tripped just once because it could no longer be trusted. I believe that is over the top - never heard of that before and getting the breaker replaced cost me a lot of money. It was a total bill of $1,400 to fix some wiring and replace a breaker switch in my electrical panel for just one light short out. That seems incredibly expensive to me!!! Will try another company next time that doesn't have to bring things up to the highest code possible but is still safe. One advantage was that they were available quickly but they didn't come until 2 days after my original appointment saying that other projects ran over. I spent hours waiting for them on a day they never showed.

There?s a charge just for them to walk through the door and quote price is HIGH which you feel stuck bc you already paid to get them there

  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
