Sunrise Deck & Dock (SD&D) did a wonderful job designing and constructing our new dock from contract signing to completion. The permitting process with Orange County was incredibly challenging and time consuming , but SD&D handled all of the challenges with ease. We absolutely love our new dock, which SD&D built to our very demanding specifications (lot size & shape demands, upgrades and changes). We highly recommend SD&D for your new dock projects. Before I even signed the contract with them I confirmed multiple times that that had built on a SFWMD managed canal, they promised me they had, come to find out they didn't even know the permitting process. It ended up taking them 2 years to get the permit through the process where a neighbor took only 6 months. After the permit was complete they told me it was a 2 week build. Once they finally started construction it took them 4 months to complete (May - August). They they sent out an unlicensed electrition that wanted over $5k to run a single outlet out there for the lift. I found my own that was $3500 and actually licensed. After all of that it wouldn't pass inspection because I had to repair the damage they caused to the bank of the canal, another $6k. No other contractor would do the rip rap because the permit was already active and no one I spoke with wanted to get involved with that mess. So, my choices were pay Sunrise another $6k or have the dock removed. So I sign the contract for rip rap with them and then find out they don't know what they are doing with that either. Final product looked horrible and there were numerous large rocks left in the water under my boat cradle to the point where it was unusable. I had to wade around in the water pulling the rocks out just to get the cradle into the water. It finally passed inspection and is done but it cost a total of $11k more than I expected and took 3 years when I was told it was a 2 week build and a couple months for permits.

This team is off the charts. They are simply rockstars and if you want yo build a deck and make sure it is reasonably priced yet built with quality then Sunrise Deck and Dock is the vendor to hire.
