Reviews
Write a ReviewChris was very polite and seemed personable and professional when we interviewed him for the job. He and his helpers were on the ball about getting the project completed in an emergency situation, however on the final day of the project he said the job was completed when he and another worker installed some upper kitchen cabinets in about 3 hours, when it was actually left unfinished. His hourly rate was quoted at $35 per hour; he really didn't give us a quote for the entire project. He charged us 8 hours per person that day, as well as a number of other days, whether they were there 3 hours or 8. Also, after some demolition we discovered this project was covered by insurance and we found that his repair costs rose dramatically when he knew insurance was paying for it. He did return to finish up the trim work and cabinets when I called and complained. For these reasons we won't recommend or hire him again.
Katherine. I came to your house under emergency situation because it was flooding. We were going to open up the walls, you were going to install a basement dry system by somebody else. We were going to repair the drywall and any painting needed. Once we got there and realized what we were up against. We realized it wasn't the wall leaking like a different contractor told you, it was actually a pipe leaking. We ended up doing way more work than we ended started. So obviously the price is going to go up a lot. We went from a couple days work to over a week's work for three guys. We pretty much gutted your whole apartment rip the walls apart all n
He Did a Professional Job.
Chris was professional and up-front about cost and concerns about my project. I went with another contractor that was able to supply drawings and detailing of the actual project. I would recommend and consider Summit for future projects. UPDATE! I contacted Summit-Up, Chris responded immediately and was able to fit in finishing my project that another contractor started but left incomplete and went bankrupt.
Great company to deal with. Chris knows his stuff. I would recommend him.
Great job!! Nice professional crew!
I found Chris Sumner to be well informed and he did what he said he would do. He was always on time and did a thorough clean up when finished. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Prompt, good personal and great to work with.
