I would recommend Mr. DeFreitas. He was prompt in contacting me, fair in his quote, and he did high quality work. He patched a larger than expected hole in my ceiling due to water damage. He made a stressful situation easy to deal with. He was contentious and polite. He showed up on time and was diligent about getting it right. I appreciated he spent the time putting on the finishing touches and cleaning up after the job. He was thorough in walking me through the project. Explaining what he was doing and why.

Steve and his crew did an outstanding job of installing 17 sheets of wallboard and custom plastering a ceiling! He was quick with his estimate and timely starting the job. He was on the job when he said he would be (which I find quite extraordinary for most small contractors) and stayed on the job all day, every day (9-5) until the job was finished and complete to my satisfaction. He is first, and ONLY contractor I've hired in the last 30 years who did not need to leave the job 3 to 4 times each day to go to Lowe's or Home Depot to get supplies he "forgot" or needed for the job! He obviously planned ahead, new what he would need and came fully prepared for the job. The jobsite was cleaned up each day and the jobsite was protected from damage, again a far cry from most other contractors who leave their mess for you to clean and do not demonstrate much care for your property. Steve far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend him without reservation. (my only minor complaint, and this may be characteristic of all plasterers is that a final sanding was not done of the taping application, but as I said, this may be characteristic of the profession, so I did not let this impact my rating)
