Unable to complete chimney cleaning satisfactorily. Did not use current professional methods to clean chimney. Did not mask off area with plastic to curb soot damage. Left debris in fencerow adjacent to my property instead of leaving it in the woods as directed. Did not hook up chimney liner to the oil furnace, allowing soot to accumulate in the house for a week. Cemented the opening closed so was unable to see the lack of connection. I Had to bring in two furnace technicians to remove connection to see that the chimney liner was not attached . Allowed gases from furnace to leak into the basement/house. Very poor communication. Did not return my calls when I attempted to address the problems. Did not do a final inspection as promised. Did not leave an itemized receipt for the work done, as I requested multiple times. Because of poor workmanship and creating a blockage in the chimney (while attempting to break up the original clay liner) soot accumulated in all the house. I had to hire a cleaning company to do cleaningâ ¦it took three weeks. Steepmasters said they would help offset the costâ ¦didnâ t happen. Steepmasters said they would come get the new chimney liner and refund the $1000 costâ ¦didnâ t happen. Did not leave the original chimney cap, which is my property. Do not hire this company for chimney cleaning.

They came out to deal with squirrels going in and out of my chimney. They discovered that the squirrels were getting in because the chimney had been damaged, providing the squirrel's with access. The problem had obviously been going on for a while. Cleaning out the bottom of the chimney as part of the inspection, we removed two five gallon buckets of sticks and leaves. They gave me a written quote describing the work and corrected my issues within the week. Work was well done, and they cleaned up perfectly. Highly recommended!

This contractor attempted repairing the leak in my steep, 12/12 pitch metal roof. But they did not stop the leaks and damaged the rain gutter on one side of the building in the process. They have agreed to refund my money, but the gutter damage will be permanent since the whole 30-ft run would have to be replaced. And I havenâ t seen that refund yet.

After contacting several companies is the only one that showed up and provided a quote. After speaking with Brent I was convinced he had experience with replacing the roof flashing boot on my gas fireplace where others did not. Quality work at a fair price. Showed up when they would, cleaned up when they left. Will probably hire again for other projects.
