Cannot recommend Soil Friends Excavation enough! They did a fabulous job on our driveway extension! Ben was always friendly and thorough in our conversation when planning the project and I was amazed at how fast he got the project done! Even with a pending blizzard, I was half expecting our project to have to be postponed, but Ben made sure to not only start the project, but completed it! Thanks so much, Soil Friends, we could not be happier with our new driveway!

In a word, Soil Friends Excavation is FANTASTIC! Ben and Bob built a large (concrete) retaining wall on a steep slope and were with us for almost 3 weeks. From start to finish, they CARED about the project as if building it for their own homes, 100% dedicated. Seriously - they obsessed over getting every detail just right, maybe more than we did! Every day so positive and upbeat, answered questions patiently, made excellent suggestions, and built us a stunning wall! Ben was always quick to respond, before & during & even after the project. You won't find a more friendly, efficient, hard-working, dedicated crew than Ben's team. They truly go above and beyond. Highly and enthusiastically recommended!!!

Look no further than Ben and Soil friends. I've been blown off by every other Landscaper in/around kalamazoo since March 2022. I ended up finding out about Soilfriends from a coworker. The owner Ben and I met in my yard in September, and by October he was starting the project. I told him our basic wants, and he far exceeded our expectations. He's very forthcoming with the processes and kept in touch with me the entire time letting me know what was happening, when/why/how. I cannot say enough about the work he did for us, our expectations were met and exceeded and he is genuinely one of the nicest guys I've met, cares for his work and is a perfectionist. 10/10. I'll absolutely recommend him without hesitation.

Ben and his crew did excellent work. He followed through on everything he promised in regrading the yard and placing in a superb drainage system that solved a water problem in the basement. He was careful of the overall landscaping as well. Ben was also easily accessible for any questions that came up during the project.

The landscaping and grading of the yard were awesome. Honestly the only thing I have to complain about is that the edges of the concrete pad are not straight, they're a bit wavy... once the grass grows in you won't be able to tell though. They worked with us on ways to reduce the cost and were great guys.

the people were excellent to work with. could find nothing to complain about before work started or after work ended. Would highly recommend them and def hire again if the need ever arises. Very great full for there time and energy they put into there work.

My basement flooded while i was on vacation through my window well (egress). I called the owner ben martin on a Sunday morning to leave a voicemail but he picked up instead, came over the next day to check out side of my house. He gave different options and decided to get a french drain and regrade. He and his co worker were very professional and did an amazing job, couldnt be happier with results. I highly recommend soil friends. -Brent
