Truly amazing work! Our egress filled up with water and flooded our basement. With the new retaining wall and drain system they installed we should never have to worry about that nightmare again! Soil Friends Excavation did a good job with our retaining wall! We presented a number of challenges designing our wall but Ben and his team overcame them all and put up a stellar wall. We were consulted and included in all decisions. The team was timely and very considerate. The landscaping and clean up after the work was complete was an added bonus. Ben was such a great partner in a recent project on my farm. I was placing a pre-built shed for adaptation to a chicken coop. Ben came out and walked the property with me. He listened carefully to what was important to me and what I was trying to accomplish. He made suggestions and helped me make the best decision for the project. He then completed the pad for the shed to go on, ensuring it was level and would have proper drainage. Highly recommend. Soil Friends Excavation replaced a timber retaining wall that had fallen with tumbled pavers and also upgraded the concrete pavers. They also installed a French drain system to prevent water running down through plants. Ben also helped with some design aspects, to maximize space Ben is professional and communicated daily about the progress, weather, and timeline for the project. Wow! Thank you Soil Friends Excavation! This exclamation is for the final result, the impact that result has had on life and other projects, and the customer service and guidance shown by this wonderful team at Soil Friends Excavation, LLC. My project was simple and straight forward; remove the extra soil and level the yard to allow proper drainage. The yard had been raised over three-feet above grade in various mounds. A fair price was quoted, work was scheduled, and started soon after. Once the work began, it was almost over. In a typical, small, city backyard, Soil Friends quickly and patiently removed four full dump truck loads of soil. That soil was then followed up by another full truck load of numerous surprise 16-inch diameter trees that were buried under the soil. To finish up, as the team was doing a final pass with hand tools to further grade and even the yard, they took the time to educate and guide me through additional options for making the yard I didnâ t have before, mine again. This transformation of an unusable space into a proper hangout has caused strangers and neighbors to stop by to take pictures and ask about the team who did the work. Having an actual backyard and seeing this noticeable change gave way to a second wind for this Fall. This space now allowed for company to come over and spend time outside while I cooked at the grill, which has happened more in the last few weeks than the last few Summers combined. Their work prompted several other exterior projects getting started and completed within days of my yard being reclaimed.
