Shamrock Chimney completed a repair on our chimney and the whole experience was excellent. They diagnosed the problem quickly, explained the repair options, and completed the work efficiently. The BBB rating for Shamrock is "F" which is their lowest rating; businesses with "F" ratings have unanswered or unresolved complaints that reflects a failure by the business (Shamrock) to deal with the causes of customer problems. I contacted the MA District Attorney's office who put me in touch with consumer advocate Deb Henderson to resolve my issue with Shamrock. She said that she spoke to the owner Carmelo Franco about my issue and said that Franco is uncooperative, therefore we are unable to proceed. I sued Carmelo Franco in Attleboro District Court for negligent work that had to be fixed by another company ($650.00), however the subpoena could not be delivered to the address the DA's office gave me, so the court dropped the lawsuit. You need the correct address of the defendant in order for the court to compel him to come to court, so Carmelo Franco is just a ghost that you will never be reimbursed by. Unprofessional staff, the workmanship was sloppy and undefined. They took the payment and have not returned, calls or email. Cancelled three times ti come back and fix it. Do Not Hire This Company!!!!

On 10.23.23 I hired Shamrock Chimney, address, 3 Mountain St. E, Worcester, MA, 01606, telephone: 508.433.0609, to clean my chimney; upon inspection of the chimney, I was told that the cement crown was damaged and needed replacement, as well as resetting loose bricks at the top of the chimney. The total cost for this work was $1,500.00. This work came with a Lifetime warranty on the 2 steel rain caps, and a 5-year warranty on the masonry. On Feb. 10, 2024, I called Shamrock Chimney and told them that the caps were moving out of place on top of the chimney, tilting as they might be ready to fall off. I told Shamrock's representative that I was fearful that the caps could fall down damaging my roof and cars, or injuring someone walking into my house on the walkway below. Shamrock told me that someone would be out to ensure that the caps were properly secured - however no one from Shamrock came out. After nearly 2 months with no response from Shamrock, on April 4, 2024, I called Shamrock
Shamrock came out, inspected, cleaned, and gave advice on correcting a problem. Than corrected the problem. We were treated in a friendly and professional manner. You can’t ask for better than that.
