I had my driveway paved by Clint Crumley in November of 2024. He wanted 5k upfront which should Never be paid. I paid 42,690.00 total. After a big rain the sides of the driveway Started to fall away. They told me we Would have to do the work on the sides before they would come back. The company that recommended them said It wasn?t the customer?s job and that SSC had the equipment to do this repair And they should honor their commitment to us. The owner cursed at my family member and also accused me of insulting him when I said I would have another company look at the driveway and give their opinion. I am a 75 yr old senior widow and do not need to be treated like this. They gladly took my money and lied about their intentions to do a good job for us. I would never recommend them to other people.

We paid 42,000 dollars for our driveway to be properly graded and paved in October 2024. Within days, the sides were breaking off into the road. We contacted them several times over the next weeks and months with one visit to confirm there was an issue, which they confirmed. They said I would have to complete extensive repair work on the grading issue (again, that they were paid to do) before they would repair the actively deteriorating asphalt. Silence again for over a month. Eventually I spoke with the owner Clint, respectfully, and he ultimately screamed and cussed me using a barrage of explicates before hanging up the phone. Bottom line, we paid over 40k for a job that was done poorly with little communication received after they received payment and the day I finally got to talk to Clint, he screamed and cussed over the phone like a child. Mistakes happen but fixing them is not an option. Unfortunately, we are now forced to right this with legal action. - 3/31/25

I would rate this as 0 stars if I could. I hired them in September 2022 to pave a very lightly used golf cart path down to the lake. Within a couple of months the raveling was so excessive on a 15-20; section of the pavement there is a hole in it that is 15 in diameter and the entire section is wearing so severely that section will have to be completely replaced. There is no way 2 of asphalt wore off a golf cart path in 2 months. They came out to inspect it and indicated it needed to be redone and it was their fault. This was the last section of the driveway and the asphalt was not hot enough to compact properly (I have a Ph.D in civil engineering from Georgia Tech so I know a bit about asphalt). They would have to get a job in my area (Gainesville before repairing it). 12 months later they have not been out yet. So I contacted them again, a new person (Ed) came out and verified the issue but blamed it on me not seal coating the asphalt after paving. Asphalt needs to cure and should not be seal coated right away. This is WRONG. Additionally, the contract indicated there would be base and 2 of asphalt. They did not put down the base (they used what was already there which was minimal crush and run that I already had on the cart path). So, when they paved it the asphalt was ;pumping - which is moving like a wave underneath the smooth drum roller. So, there were cracks in the pavement the day they completed the work which I also pointed out to them that day. They tried to close the cracks using the jumping jack tamper and the blow torch, but it still did not work. I have indicated I will file a lawsuit against them if they do not give me a deadline for completing the repair. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. From reviewing other reviews, this is apparently a pattern with this company. Never hire them to do the work - you will likely regret it.

SCC had done some driveways in our neighborhood and those neighbors were really pleased. I had them quote our neighborhood roads paving which was a 75K+ job. I had seen some reviews on line that caused me concern and Clint the owner and Austin the appraiser, pointed out that the number of reviews was minimal to the total number of jobs they do annually. We had enjoyed the quote experience and their eagerness to work with us and moved forward. This was a three day paving job on single lane and steep roads. They did a great job and I highly recommend SCC Asphalt. TTPOA President

They were paid $14k to install a new paved driveway to my home. It lasted about 4 months. Now my driveway is the largest eye sore of my familyâ s home. The asphalt never cured, it still is soft and flexes/gives even when you walk on it. Itâ s like driving through the Grand Canyon itâ s tore up so bad. The heaviest vehicle thatâ s ever travelled on it is a UPS truck. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. Their photos are indicative of the day they installed not 6 months later. GARBAGE, TRASH company. DO NOT GET FOOLED.

So happy our small neighborhood hired SCC to asphalt our road!! We've been spending around $4000 every year to maintain the gravel, which was such a waste of money, and such a headache! Now that we have asphalt the maintenance will only be every 3-5 years! Super happy with the now smooth drive. Clint, and his crew were professional and so helpful. Highly recommend!!

Buyer beware. Use this company at your own risk. They paved a 200ft driveway for me in Nov or 22. In December it was cracking and coming apart in the middle of the drive. I can actually see the dirt underneath. I was told the thickness of asphalt would be 2 inch At this location, it was 1 inch or less. I called their rep, he did come and look at it and said, yes, it was our fault, we will fix this at no cost. It is now near June 2023 and nothing has happened except the cracking has gotten worse. I have called a number of times, was told that they would send their rep to take another look. So far...nothing. The 1 year warranty they claim they give so far has meant nothing. No call back, no sorry for the problem. I am extremely dissatisfied and will not use or recommend them to anyone. The reviews that are 5 star must have used a different company?? or so far they have not had a problem. And my job is 20 minutes from their home office.

I highly recommend this company for any asphalt needs. They paved my driveway for a very reasonable price. They were in the area on another job and mentioned the price would be less if I they did my paving the same day. The results were excellent. One piece of their equipment caused some problems with a neighbor's RV pad. They came back later and fixed that problem at their expense. When they said that they would do something on the job, it was done.

Very professional, fair price and quick turnaround. This is the best contractor I have ever worked with and will have them back to pave more of my road as the budget allows, but for now I won't have to buy a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up my driveway!
