On time - lowest price- job well done. Thank you Kent
Mr. Wagner has years of experience and knowledge and it is apparent. He not only knows what he is doing but is happy doing it. He is one of the best I have ever met. I am new to this town and I feel very lucky to have found him. I will call him for all my fix it's and repairs/replacements. I needed a door installed. The company measured and ordered the door. Kent picked it up from them and when he arrived here he realized the door was the wrong size and opened the wrong way. He took all this in stride while I was having a melt down. He made it all work and did a beautiful job! What should have been an hour or so job turned into 5 hours! He had quoted me a price and he stuck to it. Now I know why he is so busy!
ontime and lowest bid
Ron did an excellent job repairing my dry wall. He managed to fit me in after 5 pm working over time when he was working on another larger job during the day. We agreed on a price for the work after he looked at it. After he started I discovered a pipe that needed to be capped so I discussed it with him and we agreed on an additional charge for materials and work for that job. He completed both jobs at the prices agreed within the time frame agreed. He is a very personable guy and easy to work with. I would recommend him to anyone. I really appreciated that he explained to me what he was going to do to repair the holes left by the plumber and the cost of the materials as well as his labor costs.
Kent was easy to work with and easily adapted to the many challenges this 1970's house threw at him. He made good use of his time and encouraged us to save labor hour dollars by giving us an opportunity to do the fetching and cleaning up. We plan to have him back to do the tile backsplash.
Mr. Wagner came by my house after each work day to inspect the paint finish on my house and ask for my input. He really cares about the quality of the work performed by his employees and he will also do some of the work himself when necessary.
Aaron, his son, did the work. College student that did a great job.
Kent is an older worker 65 years old. He is friendly and the work he did was adequate. However it takes Kent twice as long to do the work a different trades person would be able to do. After two hours of work the first day he took a break and sat in his car. He is very slow and stiff moving and works below the industry's time standard for a tradesman. He also is not a good business person and he is not consistent with his initial quote as he first stated the project estimate would cost me $320 for 8 hours and I would pay for all the supplies. He also told me during the estimate quote that if he ran over the 8 hours that would be on him and all I would pay would be the $320. I went ahead and hired him for $40 per hour x 8 hrs and that would be $320 for his labor that we agreed upon. But when I got the bill he charged me for 14 hours and told me I owed him $560. I was so disappointed and shocked, as he did not live up to our agreement in the beginning as to the estimate and if he went beyond 8 hours and the $320 it was on him. I ended up paying him $440 plus my supplies after I tried to show him the hours that I was keeping track of did not match up to his 14 hours. It was very embarrassing for me and I should not have to make an issue out of the payment after he agreed to "8 hours for $320 and if he ran over it was on him." I don't think Kent is capable of managing an effective service to the community if he is not going to follow through on the agreed upon terms. Once again, the end results were adequate but a different trades person would be able to get the job done in a much more timely manner. He also does not live up to the original quote for the billing. So Sorry this is not a pleasant review, but other consumers should be aware.
I did agree to repair a retaining wall for $320.00. After I completed that job Amber asked me to do many other jobs. I had to lift a deck 2 inchex to relevel and block it up, Chop weeds to get to dry rotted framing member , 2x12x8ft, remove and replace 2x12, resurface wheel chair ramp with concrete, fabricate and install 5ft metal threshold for transition ramp to upper deck. I shoud have collected about $1500.00 for all the work I did. I presented Amber a bill for 681.00 for all the work combined. She then pulled out a card her sister had made that supposedly kept track of my time. Furthermore, she said she would not pay for my time to get her materials or have the metal threshold fabricated. Every time she added work I had to go get materials to complete the task. All together this was about 4 hoiurs. I also gave her a discounted rate on my labor. I felt like she must really needed the money so when she said she would pay me $440 I just let it go and said fine.
