Reviews
Write a ReviewBe very specific if getting a bid over the phone. I explained what I needed to the person who called and was quoted a price. When the electrician came, he said oh, I thought it was just one pendant light, not 3. He charged me $100 more than I was quoted. It seemed to me he should have done the job for the price quoted. It did not take long at all. The sevice and work was great, just be very clean when getting a bid.
These guys were amazing! They had someone out next day for estimate, offered financing, had permits and work complete all in same week. They were professional and courteous. Would recommend.
Curtis and Anthony were the two guys that came out to do the ductless AC install. They were super nice and easy to talk to. They had a pretty tough job since my townhouse is tall, and on slanted elevation, but they stuck through it like champs. Very happy with the results. The AC unit and heads are as quiet as advertised, and the rooms they were installed in cool down quite quickly! Overall quite pleased.
I highly recommend Ranger Heating and Cooling! Sean, Dustin and the whole crew that installed the HVAC system and gas lines in my new house exceeded my expectations in every way. They took the time to decide the best way to install the system taking all factors into consideration. The quality of the installation work was impeccable. The crew is genuinely interested in doing the best job possible and it shows.
They charged me $15k for a brand new AC that does not cool my house even in relatively cool days. The brand new AC they installed hardly gives us a 76 degree temp inside (regardless of what we set the thermostat to) after hours of running non-stop. After calling Trane directly and talking to friends who had AC installed by other contractors, I learned that Ranger has installed an undersized AC for my house (it was probably cheaper for them), and now they are refusing to replace it with the right size. Their word and warranty are worthless. Ranger is great at charming communication to fool you into signing a contract with them but from there all they do is making excuses and not taking responsibility for their mistakes and poor quality work. After 55 emails back and forth with them, here's what their owner David tells me and I quote "AC is meant to maintain, not recover from higher temperatures" And that ridiculous statement is for a $15k brand new system that they designed to cool my house! In addition to refusing to replace my undersized AC, Ranger also failed to send me the electric permit so that I can schedule an inspection for their installation with the city. After 3 months and over 20 followup emails they said their electrician is not working with them anymore and they have to get the permit through another electrician and they promised a date. The date passed last week and I still don't have the permit. Now my advice to you: go with any contractor but these guys. For whatever reason if you decide to go with them, make sure you pay with a credit card so that you can dispute the charges if your system has issues like mine. Ranger is going to be very unlikely to fix it for you! If you are someone like me who already fell into their trap and they don't fix your issue, in addition to disputing the charges you can also file a complaint with the WA state (https://www.atg.wa.gov/fileacomplaint.aspx), file a small claim with court (https://www.atg.wa.gov/small-claims-court-0) and even contact Trane directly (https://www.trane.com/residential/en/customer-care.html) to complain. Last thing you could do is write a review online to help out other prospective customers!
Technicians arrived promptly, always used booties when entering, covered the floor with tarp, quiet, friendly, professional, and cleaned up when done. Customer support were friendly, professional, and set up service appointment in a timely matter. Very happy ðÂÂÂ!
I do property management so I deal with many contractors. Ranger Heating was professional, reliable and the pricing was fair. I would highly recommend then to anyone who is planning to install a heater or needs service. I needed both.
Absolutely the best.
Everyone that I worked with was professional and courteous. They were timely and completed the job on time.
