Woke up at 1 am, assuming that my home was being broken into, all to discover that my garage sping had broken. I am so grateful for the professional, kind and most importantly the fast service Prolift Garage Doors displayed. I would recommend everyone to call them first (please).. They are the best that I've come across and I am an apartment manager and Ive still haven't experience this type of professionalism. Thank you again Prolift.

I cannot recommend this company enough! What an amazing service from the mom my I called their offices with Jaqueline, to the moment their amazing tech Moises got to our house and fixed our issue. Afterwards I also got an amazing post service by Jaqueline, who called to see if I was pleased with the service. It’s so refreshing to see that there are companies out there that really care about their customers and know how to run a business the right way. Thank you ProLift Humble!

From start to finish, the communication, speed, and customer service of Prolift Garage Doors of Humble was awesome. I needed a garage door opener for my Atascocita house and they delivered. Moises, the technician walked me through the project and answered all my questions. The installation was scheduled on a day that was available for my tenant and all went smoothly. They even followed up to make sure all was good. :) 10/10 recommend!

These people know how to treat their customers!! Even though the job was not a major project, they stayed connected with me through out the process. From honoring their quote, great customer service and excellent work, I am very satisfied. I would recommend you call them first for any garage door issues. I found ProLift via Angi and these guys were the quickest to respond. Moises showed up about 30 minutes after I reached out and he had the garage door repaired about 90 minutes later. I was pleased with the price, the service, and responsiveness.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
