Preferred Garages recently built our garage and we couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. They handled everything, from the permit paperwork to the garage drawings so we didn’t even have to hire an architect. That saved a lot of money. Greg was great with his communication throughout the process. Well worth the investment and we love our new garage.

Preferred Garages did a really good job of building my garage. They came out and gave me a quote within just a few days. After permits were received, they started and completed it quickly. No issues, happen I went with them.

Using this company to build my garage was one of the worst mistakes I've ever made in my life. The owners name is Greg Moss, beware of this contractor, he has been building garages for a long time and he is very smart. He knows how to work the system and you will have no leverage to hold him accountable for what he says he will do. He is a despicable person to work with and everything will be done his way even if that means you don?t get what he said you would, or what you paid for.

My experience working with Greg and all of his crews for my garage addition went very well. I am very pleased with the overall process and working with Preferred Garages (demo, foundation/concrete, framing, siding, roofing, etc). I added another 17x30 ft onto an already existing 3-car garage on a new-ish home build in Castle Rock, plus increased the door heights from 7 -> 10ft. Preferred Garages was not the only contractor I shopped but they did come back the most knowledgable, by far way more experience than the others, and they were the best priced for the scope of work. The project began in late October after the usual 2 or so months to get plans drawn up, approved by the town and my HOA, and then permits issued. The new garage was completed ahead of schedule (late December). At each step of the way, Greg was available for any questions I had. I meet with Greg told him what I wanted here gave a price of 24000.00 for a 20x30 8 foot walss flat foundation lap siding insulated rool up door people door I removed the trees like we agreed Told Greg were ready I asked if if he remembered everything I wanted done He stated materials went up added 2000 more I agreed sent the contract told him no windows Had problems with the foundation from the start Framers Chipped the concrete Framing has gaps and leaks water And No flat foundation No lap siding Non insulated door Just the bare bone minimum Greg stated it was built to contract Damaged materials Leaks at the walls to sill plate Hired a lawyer he sent out a contractor And they stated 10,000 to 11,000 to fix it Greg talks down to people and degrades them So Im letting my lawyer handle it because he won't fix it correctly and address the issues

Greg was very responsive and took care of everything.

Horrible experience. Long delays, problems passing inspection, trash left onsite for weeks on end and horrible communication. The list goes on and one of the challenges faced.

I do not recommend this company. The owner Greg Moss does not communicate any status. I signed the contract on May 30. He said the garage would be completed and driveway poured in 4 weeks. 6 weeks max. The driveway was finally poured on October 25. It took him 21 weeks to build a simple garage with no work done on the inside. I would text him asking when they would be showing up and he always responded with maybe next week. The garage permit failed during the permit application process because of lack or engineering papers and also failed the framing inspection. Thankful for the Thornton City inspectors to catch the questionable work by this company. The garage was complete but needed to be shingled. Rain was forecast for the next day so I called Greg to see when they were going to shingle. He said he didn't know. The shingles were not even ordered yet. I asked if he could put the tar paper down to protect the decking. Greg told me that rain does not hurt the wood. I bought tarps to protect the decking. Very hard to work with, do not use Preferred Garages.
