I am beyond impressed with Joren and his company. I got several bids, but Joren took the most time with me, explaining every detail and giving me options I never thought I could afford, but was able to because of him. Once I accepted his bid, he showed up on a Wednesday, and by Thursday evening (yes...the NEXT DAY) I had new cabinets and a countertop installed. He did some minor finishing touches Friday morning, but essentially completed my project in 48 hours. The integrity and care with which he operates is a rare quantity in today's world. I highly recommed this company. I've already got three referrals lined up for him, so get him while he's available!

So my garage has been in desperate need of a remodel for years . mostly, because I spend a fair amount of time there AND I had become concerned about the holiday decor and miscellaneous items precariously hanging in the rafters. What I knew I needed was a finished ceiling with above ceiling access for storage. This would not only solve any overloaded rafter safety concerns, but it would also provide a nicer environment with better aesthetics. I even generated some quick drawings of what I envisioned for the project and ultimately ended up presenting these to about 6 contractors, via the Home Advisor website. So within about 5 days, I received all the estimates and now I had that ever important decision to make - but honestly, it was a fairly easy choice. I chose Pacific View Builders, as a result of Joern Lange providing a competitive bid, his knowledge on best approach for the project AND they were local. He had a simple no non-sense phased approach that totally aligned with my expectations, as opposed to some of the other contractors trying to over complicate the job (by what I thought) and attempting to confuse me with details, several resulting in over inflated bids. I mean I had drawings and had a pretty good knowledge of what the job entailed . and this was a finished ceiling, not a second story add-on. But even as the project kicked off, I knew I had made the right decision. Since this effort included the upgrade of existing ceiling joists, installation of plywood sheeting and drywall, as well as the re-installation of lighting, electrical switches, J-box and receptacle; Joern and I communicated daily on status and the way ahead, throughout the project. I was never left in the dark and we were always on the same sheet of music very important for any project. Also important is the time factor I mean you always want to get your house back to normal again. As a home owner during any project, the process can feel like a mental tug-of-war you want the job done quickly - yet thoroughly; but you also dont want to rush the project, which could result in shortcuts. With Joern, at no time did I feel the job ever fell into rush mode and he made sure the job was done professionally to my satisfaction, as well as his. Believe it or not, he really made this project enjoyable, a team effort and the end result was exactly what I envisioned. Over the years, PVB has done 4 jobs for us: 1 rental upgrade, 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen. Always high quality work. Keeps us updated on what's happening and what's next. Onsite supervision - or always available by phone. Goes to bat for us with suppliers when needed. Responsive to all of our requests. Honest. What more can I say! Will hire again for next project.

Joern responded to our inquiry quickly. He came to our home and evaluated the job and returned several days later with his equipment to clean drag/scuff marks on the deck material on our porch. He did an excellent job and I would recommend him to anyone.
