Steve is very knowledgeable and creative from design to completion. He took our blank slate of a backyard and designed an Oasis with items we wanted. His suggestions were spot on and he was flexible to one change my wife wanted. The rock designs make for a great fit to off set the plants, trees and sitting areas.

Great company to work with. He s reasonably priced, does quality work and my yard is going to look so much better.

Owner (Steve Lanthier) took the time to go over my options and once I decided, he and his crew were on time, professional, and completed the job as promised. They removed the old 6-foot fence and installed nearly 100 feet of 7 foot tall redwood fencing, complete with a gate, in 2 days. It looks absolutely beautiful! I could not be happier.

Mr. Lanthiers forte is clearly concrete design. We are pleased with our new driveway. However, he does not understand landscaping and did not honor his agreement to replace plants, many of which withered and died within the first 30 days. All things considered, with Sacramento heat and full afternoon sun, we specifically requested no-maintenance shrubs. He did not prepare the soil or install weed barrier. He would not return calls and his email was invalid. He complained that he had to hire a tree service after his sons were unable to complete removal of a maple close to our door. They left logs and debris in our front yard for several weeks. He was friendly until we asked him to replace dead plants. Bermuda grass and weeds took over the entire space. We were advised by our pest control company that shredded cedar along the foundation attracts insects into the home, we applied several hundred dollars in river rock and gravel along the front of our house. Being sarcastic, surly and blaming customers is unprofessional. We entered this agreement with good faith and a lot of money. We will have to hire another contractor to fix the mess. Edit (6/22/20): A year after hiring Steve Lanthier, we have invested an additional $700 in weed barrier, rock, and replacement of plants. He refused to honor his contract to replace plants. He complained that he had to hire a tree service to finish taking out our tree. He was surly and unhelpful. He overbooked his company during heavy rain and boy, have we regretted this project. His response to Better Business Bureau was a childish personal insult. Everyone who comments on our landscape asks, Why didnt you put in a weed barrier? Ask Mr. Lanthier.

Steve and his crew did a fabulous job! Steve’s design was very creative and it makes our front and back yard spectacular! I would recommend Steve to everyone - such a reasonable price and very fair!

Steve had a simple design for my very small back yard that is functional and attractive at the same time. I let him make all the decisions of plants and flowers, which look very nice compared what I had before.

Steve was prompt, courteous, and professional. My husband and I really didn't have an idea of what to do with our challenging backyard. Steve designed a great plan that incorporated all our do's and dont's. He also revised the plans when I decided to change a couple features. We have hired Steve to install the landscaping, so I'll review again once the project is done.
