One A/C & Heating evaluated my A/C situation, explained my options & costs. I elected to remove the 12 year old A/C & have One Hour A/C put in a new A/C. They scheduled my installation, arrived on_time & completed the install in less time than they estimated. I am very pleased with their services.
Fast, friendly service. The repairman was at our home within 2 hours of our call on a Saturday.
I was called as soon as I submitted the request. Marc came out the next day, told us we needed a new blower motor, and had it fixed by the end of the day.
I had 2 companies come out and both said I need a new unit. They came out the very next day and set appt and terms for new unit . Very reasonable. Very happy all the way through. Thank you !
I found out later that found out all my system needed was cleaned-tried to sell me parts I didn't need.
This repair was extremely expensive for the time it took to do it and no parts being required. I don't know if there is an industry standard for the repair so perhaps I just have sticker shock, but it was about twice as much as I expected. The tech was prompt and polite. We will know by tomorrow if the whole problem was solved.
They knocked a hole in my ceiling which they said they would repair but as yet have not fully finished the job - I have called several about this and have been told that someone would call me back . As yet no one has returned my call (personal information removed)
I feel I must relate my experience with One Hour Air in the hope that consumers like I can avoid the costly mistake of choosing this company. I am unsure whether Angie's List or Home Advisor was the referring source but I would also hope that both will no longer refer this firm. I hired One Hour Air to rework the HVAC ductwork order a mobile home we use as a getaway place. This was to include expanding four floor outlets and adding one floor return. The total cost was $4,000. Problems surfaced immediately? The materials sent with the technicians were incorrect. This caused the technicians to try and hand make some of the venting and to leave the first day with open holes in the floor. On the second day some of the materials were still incorrect, but were modified to fit. Then, the coverings for the floor vents were actually the cheapest of wall grates, not even registers. I pointed out that using cheap ceiling grates instead of floor registers was quite dangerous since stepping on a ceiling grate causes it to collapse and could easily result in injury, and liability. They ordered floor vents, but not registers, which are more expensive. They ordered floor grates which do not allow for adjustment of the air flow. Worse, some still didn't fit as it seems that the holes are a bit too large. I have purchased the correctly sized floor registers and installed them myself at a cost of approximately $200.00. While installing the venting, a technician told me that the âhurricane strapsâ under the mobile home were rusting out and I immediately contacted a mobile home service to replace these. One of the workers came to me and told me that one of the return ducts had fallen off, but he had put it up again. I thanked him and thought nothing of it. On Saturday, August 19th, when we visited the mobile home it was very warm. I assumed the problem was with the unit and called the company which installed the unit. Emergency weekend service is not inexpensive. The initial diagnosis was the blower motor which was working but very little air came out. This was replaced under warranty. No change in flow. Today, under the guidance of the service manager, the young technician went under the mobile home only to find the main supply duct had come loose, which he repaired. Crawling out, he bumped the other return duct and it fell off, which he repaired. I understand that ALL of the ducts were attached with ONE Zip Tie and nothing else! Remember, these hang from floor vents. This company does not do duct installation or replacement which is why I called One Hour Air. Total cost for this service, $300.00 I now need to hire someone to repair the shoddy work of One Hour Air. Cost, who knows. I would expect that my minimum cost to correct the work of One Hour Air will exceed $1,000.00! I strongly recommend that everyone avoid One Hour Air.
Service men were friendly and professional. My husband was very impressed with their knowledge and skills. They wanted to make sure they did the job well.
