Write a ReviewCraftmanship is wonderful, but the communication is poor. the customer has to reach out about scheduling construction times. The time estimated by the owner is not what the actual contractors would estimate for the time needed to get the work done. if you can handle the pain of long wait times for completing work in progress in order to get quality craftsmanship and affordable prices, then they're a great choice.
Jaclyn, I apologize for the time it took to install your windows. I had to work you into my schedule which I discussed before hand and you stated there was a timetable to get it done but then there was one. Had I known you wanted it completed sooner, I would have passed on the job as we are extremely busy at this time. Many customers have their projects planned and set from winter to early spring. When someone calls us we always try to accommodate you to acquire a new customer but sometimes we just say no if you're not flexible during these busy months.
Best if price AND schedule of completion are agreed upon before starting - especially during the busy season.
I am happy you're pleased with the finished product. This was a complete remodel of your basement 1600 sqft of new porcelain tile, plumbing for bathroom, drywall, and a full paint job including painting the doors to every room in the basement. It was definitely time consuming taking a full month to complete.
Hired to do a large remodeling job. Owner James stated he would be about to complete before Memorial Day and as I am a retired disabled veteran this was very important to me. I provided all materials as requested, I gave a key for them to have access any time, as I was told they will work at my house project after other jobs to ensure completion. The workers who came had nothing good to say about working for James through NPS sales. Only two of the people who showed up knew how to do the job they were there to do. Hang drywall, hang a door, build a short half wall. The work started great. I ordered a dumpster, they came in demolished 80 percent of the house so that all the rebuild was ready. Then they vanished for 2 weeks. When asked what was going on, I was told that they are on schedule and will complete the job on time, to finish by Memorial Day. Two weeks come and go and still, no one has done any work. I contacted them repeatedly, asked for clarification on the project agreement and again if they were on schedule. I tried to contact Hom Advisor, as they are the lead originators, and they said once hired it is between contractor and owner to figure out timelines. Paying half of the agreed-upon price upfront they somehow went through all their billable hours well before even half the job was completed. They threw away hardwood flooring into a dumpster full of water, left if there for 3 days and when I asked what was going on with this, they said it was an oversight and they knew I was saving it to install in a different room. I was told to go ahead and get new wood, my guys knew you were saving that wood. We will cover the cost. I then ordered new hardwood, and then I get told that the hardwood was pulled back out because they took it to a specialist and said it was fine to use and they did not want to pay for the new wood. I was told by James if it is because the wood was in the dumpster and it is a principal thing than maybe we should reconsider the entire job. This is 3 days before the deadline of Memorial Day. Memorial Day came and went, and the house stayed incomplete, still to this day, when I asked when it will be finished James I will try to finish your project as fast and safe as I can but I am not going to lose another worker. The lost worker was because the worker quit working for James. After all, he did not pay for all the hours James hired him to work, would pull him from job sites, and have him relocate without paying gas money, and he told me directly he was done working for James. Not only did the job not get completed, my key, that James took the initiative to make copies of and pass out to his workers who are quitting on him, but also did not return the keys, did not tell me they would not be coming back, did not say anything just and still have not said anything to me or apologized for not meeting the deadline James agreed to. His workers apologized for not being about to finish or to stay later but they know they would not be compensated to stay. HomeAdvisor and other websites all have horrible reviews for this company and I will be leaving this same review for each of them. Seeing that other people had to contact lawyers to force James to bring an honest man is just awful. When anyone hires someone to come into their home, give them all the courtesy and respect that any person deserves, and then they throw it back at you, disrespect you and destroy your home should just hang their hat up and close shop because they do not know what they are doing.
The last line of this rant suggests that we (NPS) "hang up our hats and close shop because we do not know what we are doing." I believe the 20+ 5 Star Reviews on this SITE would beg to differ. Tyler, If I may remind you, we originally had a date set in stone to begin work and as you stated, "money wasn't an option." Then, like most, it is exactly that (an option). You delayed, and delayed, due to the negotiating as you specifically wanted to go with our company. (Why is that?) Secondly, sir, after we marked out our start date, your entire family became quarantined and your young son fell ill and the job was canceled although you were not currently living in the home that the work was going to occur in. Another job was moved into your spot and you contacted me even later to ask to get back on the schedule and to also try to keep the same completion date 2 weeks after we missed the initial start date. I told you I would try to accommodate you as much as possible and also that we would work a few nights to try to get the project back on schedule, (WHICH WE DID). I had 2 guys in your home laying new tile at 2:00 AM (wHAT COMPANY DOES THAT??) I did that for you. We often worked in your home until 9:00-10:00 PM Yes, I did have a guy quit because I had him working late hours at your house! How are you going to try to make this a negative on my part when this benefited you. You know what, construction is a revolving door Tyler, people come and go all the time. That happens to be why that guy quit. But guess what, he begged to come back 3 weeks later and I said no. You know what, I'm not going to entertain this at all. It's unfortunate that people get to write whatever they want on a computer in this day and age. You acted like a jerk most of the time and was not easy to deal with. It was like you forgot that YOU changed the start date on the US and I still tried to work with you. We didn't finish because I no longer wanted to work with you on this project. We quit. Plain and simple. Left money on the table because I did not like how you were speaking to me and my guys. You're unhappy, and that's your problem, not mine. You treated my crew like they were behind the entire time when you are the person that put the entire project behind from the beginning.
not professional at all. kept leaving job to work on other job although advised them I need project finished due to husband's disability. Caused damage to washing machine in moving it and as of this date has not paid for that. When I complained was very rude. Had to talk to attorney to get things done.
I worked this job into my schedule as the client expressed that she needed the work done to assist her ailing husband. We were very cordial and professional as the customer often weeped on our shoulders during this trying time. I extended services free of charge to them as they were pastors and I am a man of faith. I am disheartened that you would leave a review that is this unfair to the services we extended to you. I gave you a $2,200 discount solely based on your health situations. This unfairness makes it hard for me to do this for others.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Spend the extra money for an actual professional, had them install a fence and it turned out horrible, when I confronted them, I was told that it was installed by guys learning with no supervision. Paid for a professional fence, got a training fence. Crocked, not level, or was not even done at night, as we asked for, different levels of fence, and not size gates agreed on, horrible service. Save your self the headache! UPDATE 6/5/2020: DONT HIRE. Horrible work, had them install a chain-link fence, not straight, or level, fencing not even attached to top rail at some points, gates were installed with the wrong size, one was upside down and backward. When confronted, they told me guys are in training, and with no supervision, so I got a training fence not a professional fence. Save your self the headache.
Ok, where to begin. You hired us. Gave you an estimate. We agreed upon terms. Showed up to work, and things went downhill from there as soon as you laid eyes on 2 of my workers who were of Hispanic origin. You complained throughout the entire process when we were nowhere near completion. I directed you to look at my ratings for fences that were 5 STAR but you were impossible to deal with. You were told upfront that you do not pay fully until the job meets your satisfaction; however, all you did was complain about silly things. Everything was changed to meet your requests. I told you we were TRAINING someone new and he was still learning. You took that and ran with it to request a refund for 100% of the labor after 95% of fencing was done for you. I gave you a great deal to begin with and you ended up being a horrible customer. This is TRUE, not retaliatory at all. I gave you a refund of $600 when there was only $200 worth of work needed to complete the job. You wanted $1000. I refused and then I got your unjust and unfair review. You basically tried to extort me and I said NO!
James and his crew did an excellent job! The floors turned out beautiful as did the cabinets. He was professional, communicative, and took the time to do the job right.
We worked with NPS on a drywall project. James was easy to work with and responsive. They did a nice job and met their deadlines. I would work with them again.
They did a fantastic job once it was all done. The design is exactly what was described. It took a long time to get the work completed, though. We had to ask twice to get the details finished up and the garbage hauled away. The one week project was actually a three week project. Be very clear of your expectations!
NPS was professional and fair throughout the whole fencing installation and very timely. I couldn't be happier with the results.
