UNACCEPTABLE. Nelson Contracting installed two garage doors on my 1927 home with full knowledge of the risks involved in an older structure. There were no issues with the installation when the job was complete and payment was made in full. Six months passed without incident until one garage door started making an alarming noise. I contacted Nelson Contracting about the issue. I was told I would have to PAY for a service call. I guess it was not worth Nelson Contracting effort to stop by for 15 minutes to give me their opinion on the issue. When I said I would gladly pay for this call I did not hear from Nelson Contracting for four weeks. When I contacted them to check on the status, I was told that actually, Nelson Contracting had diagnosed the problem without even stopping by and that I would require that the current system be removed and a new system installed. Sounds expensive. In summary, Nelson Contracting was happy to take thousands of dollars from me and then never wanted to hear from me again. One would think that an hour or two of service, especially if paid for, would be worth it to Nelson Contracting to maintain their reputation. Not. Avoid Nelson Contracting and use one of any garage door installers in Northern Michigan. I am sure there are dozens with a much higher level of customer service than Nelson Contracting. UNACCEPTABLE.

Excellent! Called right away and came out the next morning. Didn't try to push anything that wasn't needed. In and out in less that 2 hours.

After waiting two weeks for a company to call me back to initiate the repair I needed in order to use my garage I contacted Home Adviser who in turn recommended Nelson contracting. They called me within an hour to arrange the repair work the next day. Matt Nelson did what he said he would do in order to get my garage door operational. Getting that kind of support nowadays is hard to find. If you are having garage door problems this is the person you want on the job.

Arrived as planned. Pleasant person. Fixed our garage door and now working great. Glad I called.

Matt was very responsive calling me first thing in the morning to repair our broken wheels on our garage door. Excellent service & low price for repairs. Matt is professional, works fast & even programmed our old remotes. Overall great customer experience & I highly recommend Matt for any garage opener repairs or installations. Thank you!
