Reviews
Write a ReviewWill Soulier (Foreman), Jimmy Bracey IV, and Myshaun Joyner delivered outstanding service installing eight foundation piers—six on my property and two at my neighbor’s. Despite equipment issues and constant breaker trips, the crew stayed focused and efficient. Will showed strong leadership, quickly resolving technical setbacks. Jimmy and Myshaun worked with care and initiative, needing no direction to stay on task. All three were professional, respectful around my children, and knowledgeable when answering my questions. They followed safety protocols and were careful to protect my lawn and landscaping. Completing the job in a single day, ahead of approaching rain, was a testament to their coordination and work ethic. This team exemplifies top-tier craftsmanship, professionalism, and pride in their work.
Please see the earlier review (3/12) for context. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Mt. Valley Foundation Services regarding our sump pump installation. Overall, the team did an excellent job with both the initial installation and the subsequent repair of the discharge lines, which had come apart over time. They were professional, transparent, and truly seemed to care about the project. The only challenge I encountered was not with Mt. Valley Foundation Services itself, but rather with its parent company, Ground Works. From my experience, Ground Works has acquired many smaller foundation companies across the U.S., and it seems they may be struggling with logistical coordination. The call center they use is not very user-friendly, and I experienced multiple miscommunications and scheduling errors. Unfortunately, this puts Mt. Valley Foundation Services at the mercy of Ground Works' logistical issues. That said, I highly recommend working with Mt. Valley Foundation Services. My advice is to obtain the names and direct contact information of the service team when booking—this makes future communication significantly easier. Once I was able to reach the team directly, they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Living in a flood-prone area, I feel confident that the sump pump project they completed will be a tremendous benefit to our home and property. A big thanks to Danny (the manager) and his team for their outstanding work!
TLDR: The sump pump they installed has never worked. Impossible to get someone on the phone. Stay away at all costs! We initially had a great experience with Mt. Valley—good communication, fair pricing, and what seemed like a solid sump pump installation. Since installation, the sump pump has never functioned properly. The discharge lines have completely come apart, meaning water is now being pumped under our deck and foundation—exactly what we were trying to prevent in an area that floods routinely. This should be a straightforward fix, but after a month of trying to schedule service, no one from Mt. Valley has even shown up to assess the issue. We’ve had three separate appointments where no one arrived or even bothered to call. The sump pump is still nonfunctional, and at this point, we regret ever choosing this company. I will gladly update this review if they resolve the issue, but until then, if you need a sump pump, save yourself $7,000 and buy one at Lowe’s

Outstanding service
This company comes highly recommended. The crew from Charleston was very good and professional! Andy,Ryan,Darrin, and Jesse are the best and did an excellent job lifting up my foundation and floor repair.
The work was superb beginning with an introduction to the Company by Donrell Lester. He was both professional and knowledgeable. Answered every question and explained fully what was the scope of work and related costs. The installation crew led by David Foreman and including David H, Thomas J and Derrell R were skilled, proficient, polite and patient with every question
Simply put, Amazing! Don Lester was my first estimate I'm the type that gets multiple (4 in total). Don and his Company were the only ones that listened to what I needed and didn't try to upsale me. I appreciate the fast professionalism for a job well done. The entire team was friendly and my project was done to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely hire them again in the future.
On time explained all steps & kept me informed..Nice Job Austin & Michael. Hidhly recompense. Jim Ball
Anderson Pusey, of Mount Valley Foundation has been our knight in shining armor. Never have I had the pleasure of working with someone that exemplifies such professionalism and such dedication to his customer. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement. Working with Anderson was an education in all things crawl space related. This man clearly knows his business and his passion for his work is obvious and infectious. Once we agreed to the work, Anderson did not "disappear" as tends to happen. He has followed up through every step of the crawl space encapsulation process and has ensured that we are aware of every step. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Anderson especially, but also with the crew that did the work including Jerrod Mazyck, Noah Jenkins, and Alex Myers. They were incredibly polite, respectful and very thorough in their work. Mount Valley Foundation has my business for life and I recommend them to everyone!!!
