Montes Seal Coating/Roofing/Paving is possibly the worst choice for paving you can make. I hired them to do a basic repaving job for my parking lot. As you can see they have decent reviews here and at BBB. DO NO BE FOOLED. They screwed up my job with their shallow milling (did not have to haul as much material away) to their first dump of asphalt through to the last roll of the compactor. They have so much material dumped on one of my driveway aprons that they built a dam that traps water and forms a six by fifteen foot pond. The grade was so high that they actually covered my cement curb with asphalt, then had to remove it and add concrete just to meet their new grade 1.5 inches above where they should be. This will eventually break up and leave a disgusting pile of gravel in it is place. Next, when paving, the surface should be pitched toward the nearest drain/sewer. For my lot the water has to flow from center where the sewer is, to the outside curbs on the perimeter, down the length of the lot and back to the center to drain into the sewer. This will cause problems in the winter when I have an ice slick along the sides of the lot endangering my customers. Okay so the grading and milling was as bad as possible. They also stained all my curbs with tar. They ran their equipment on my clean concrete staining and scaring it in countless places. They had to match existing payment and had trouble with that. To make matters worse they were drunk. They did not even have enough sense to hide it from me. I found, to confirm my suspicions, four empty cases of model beer for four guys doing the work. As you can imagine my job is exactly what you would expect when it is fueled by drugs and alcohol. I have pictures to detail everything I have said, including the empty cases of beer. It will cost me $ to fix this parking lot. I will never use months Sealcoating again and I hope you take my warning seriously.
