We have had our fair share of bad experiences with contractors since we bought our house in Leander in 2020. So, when the hailstorm hit us in June 2023, we were a bit suspicious of the roofing contractors that inundated us with offers to inspect our roof. Our neighbor, who is a real estate agent, recommended MommaBear roofer. Once we met with Austin, Travis, and Kenney we decided to hire them for the roof inspection, temporary repairs pending insurance determination, and working with our insurance to change the roof. They did such a good job for us on the aforementioned work that we decided to give them all the rest of the work (Gutters, exterior paint, and interior paint). Basically, we ended up doing what they recommended in the first place, i.e., for them to GC all the repairs as per the insurance claim. They were professional, honest, problem solvers, and very easy to work with. Also, their subcontractors (gutters and paint) were as high caliber as MommaBear Roofer themselves. Our roof is substantial in size and compounded in construction, so not a small job. They did what they said they will do (including upgrades), at the time they said they will do it, and the way they said they will do it (or in some cases accepting late requests for change from us without a fuss). When the material supplier screwed up delivery and threatened delaying the start, they found alternatives to stay on schedule. When they (or their subcontractors) found poor quality installations done by the original builder (house is 7 years old only) they did not replace like for like; they did it right instead. We wanted to make some upgrades (solar powered vents and higher grade roofing material) and they open to the idea and very reasonable on cost. It is important to also mention that they made dealing with the insurance company much easier than we expected. Our insurance adjuster seemed to be very impressed by Austin Chittim and did not disagree with almost any of the MommaBear recommendations. We are extremely satisfied with our experience with them. We cannot praise them enough for how they executed this repair for us. Without hesitation we will (and have already) recommend them to anyone that is looking for a roofing contractor. Momma Bear just replaced the roof on our rental property. They were there working with the insurance adjustor from the beginning. On first meeting, Austin was professional, courteous and accommodating our requests. The job was scheduled 3 weeks after from the meeting. Even with unrelenting record summer heat everyday, team and crew truly got the job done within promised specified timeframe without any hassle. The crew did an amazing job cleaning up and I have not heard any complaint from tenant. I highly recommend Momma Bear Roofer.
