Reviews
Write a ReviewWe had two bathrooms completely gutted and remodeled. Pricing was up-front and honest. Nothing was hidden and they gave large enough allowances per item to allow us to choose what we wanted. James and Hamsa were extremely friendly and conscientious in everything that they did. Would gladly recommend them.
This has been an emotional and financial stressful hardship at this moment and he is ignoring the courts, due to the judgement going to me.
Henry & Vlad were terrific from start to finish, no hidden costs or surprises, just a genuinely fine job completed by a real craftsman. I've already hired Mid Atlantic for another job at my home and can't wait to see how it looks when finished. Enthusiastically endorse and recommend Henry and team.
We had our entire first and second floor repainted (all walls, ceilings, doors and trim) and our (very small) master bath redone and asked for a few minor changes - upgrading to LED recessed lighting in the living room, replacing closet doors, replacing overhead light with fan in child s bedroom and removal of old cable in office and patch hole. The painting was done in a timely manner and the crew were great! We lived through the work so it was stressful (with two small children) but the crew were respectful and worked with us. However, they did not remove the cable and patch, and we asked that they come back for some touch ups, and we kept getting pushed off by the project manager. Eventually, we gave up. Luckily, we held $500 back from the final payment, so we just kept that. As for the bathroom, we had a different 2-man crew that were also very polite and accommodating. However, they had to come back TWICE to redo the shower floor tile because it was not graded properly so the water was pooling on one side. This was very disruptive and, frankly, ridiculous. Seems like shower floor 101 to make sure it is angled properly. It still is not 100%, but we are going to live with it. We had a third crew come to hang the custom glass shower door. The first time they showed up, they brought the wrong size door. Then, after hanging the right size door the following week (we could not use our new bathroom for over a week waiting for the door), they did not seal under one side so the water just ran out everywhere. When the 2nd crew came back to fix the floor for the second time, they were kind enough to seal this for us. Oh, and the sink was leaking at this point too, so they fixed that. Overall, I would say they did a good job on the actual work overall even though it took them a few times. But I give them poor for customer service since they did not ensure we were fully satisfied. Proceed with caution with this company.
This was a large project, a bit more than a kitchen. I had the old kitchen gutted. The old kitchen had a sliding door and I had that removed and a new exterior wall built. I had a gas conversion done so I could use a new gas range. I had recessed lighting installed in the living room and kitchen. They opened the wall between the dining room and kitchen to give a more open feel. Then I had new flooring done through the entire first floor of the house, 1024sqft. So you get that kitchen dining room, living room same flooring look. Took approx 1.5 months to complete. The project started with Henry. He did the design based on my ideas and rendered a digital design to show me what it would look like. He is a great guy and really knows his stuff. He handed the project off to another contractor who was dedicated to this project. From that point I only saw Henry 3 other times. The contractor that did the work was easy to work with. I wasn't living in the house but was there working on my own projects and we got along well. I was able to get in touch at any hour and all my questions were answered. The contractor even taught me a few construction things and helped me install my own crown molding. Overall the end result was one beautiful kitchen and first floor and I couldn't be happier. Project Contract cost: $31,000 + Appliances: $4000 + Sliding Door: $600 + Cabinet Handles: $200 Total: $35,800 I would recommend Mid Atlantic Remodeling. Next time I would just have to be more direct about the budget. TLDR: Pros: -The craftsmanship was amazing. -1 company that can do it all -Project was completed quickly -Easy & Flexible group to work with. -Excellent communication. Ask a question get an answer. -Not once did I feel uneasy about how things were done. Cons: -No budget breakdown. The original agreement specified estimates for some items and I was told that if they weren't needed then it would be credited back. I never received any kind of expense budget, so in exchange there was no credits. -I was also required to buy my own cabinet handles. Not just pick them out, like I thought, I had to physically pay more of my own money and go get them. -At the beginning of the project Henry and I talked about appliances. He told me that he could get an appliance package at discounted rates. I said to go for it. Near the end of the project I was asked when I was having appliances delivered. I had to rush to buy my appliances outside of the project cost which set me back another $5k. -I had mid atlantic replace a sliding door in the basement, I was told the cost would be $300. Door was installed and I was handed a receipt for $600. I was told that the $300 door felt cheap and wasn't good quality. The door they installed was very nice. But it would have been nice to confirm the change first. -The warranty, Mid Atlantic is providing a 1 year warranty on their installation. They provided invoices for some of the hardware warr
We used Henry and his guys to redo our kitchen. They were detail oriented and very professional. They were very accommodating to requests we had along the way to ensure we got the kitchen we wanted in the end. We plan on using them for future jobs.
after reading the rewiews, i was a little concerned about communication. but, the contractor named Walter, speaks fairly good english. he did an excellent job. their price is unbeatable. i would definitely hire them again 8n future.
I found this company through Home Advisers. Henry was awesome he had everything right at his fingertips. I had already designed both my bathroom and kitchen and with Henry and myself and Joseph who was a master at all of the work he did. With a few modifications to my blue prints between the three of us and all of Joesph work including moving walls I ended up with a awesome kitchen and bathroom. I have to say If you design it they will build it that was in my case! if you decide for them to design it I am sure they will do a awesome job.Henry & Joseph is very detailed and Joseph's work shows it. They even threw in a few extras and their pricing was very fair. Thanks again and I Rate you 5 stars *****
I was please with my bathroom The work was done to my satisfaction.
