Reviews
Write a ReviewThe on hold message for this company says that other companies (their competitors) (1) don't show up, (2) don't return calls, (3) make promises they don't keep and (4) make a mess, leave the job and don't return. This was my exact experience with Carolina Basement Systems. I paid the deposit. The process that was used to lift and level my carport broke my basement wall: 1) There is now a large crack in the basement wall adjacent to the carport 2) doors are sticking 3) the strike plate on the door that leads from my kitchen to the carport doesn't hold the latch now 4) carport door doorbell is not working I was told that this sometimes happens and they could fix it. After their "fix", all the issues listed above remain. The "fix", wall anchors, when installed, didn't close the crack and the installer told me that they would return to tighten the anchors. I withheld the final payment because they didn't fix the crack and refuse to return to tighten the anchors. Takes one to know one
Ariel was the foreman on the job and did fantastic work. The price was right for the great quality and everyone was very professional and efficient. Im very happy with my newly encapsulated crawl space and repaired foundation system.
Great job, very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend them.
Lane came out and listened to all our needs. He walked us through a very clear plan for our basement. They gave us a reasonable quote and were able to schedule us a few weeks later. It took them 2 days to do the work and it was done very professionally. The crew was extremely nice. They brought extra plastic to make sure all our belongings were covered. They even helped me move my washer and dryer! They made sure everything was clean and to our standards before they left. The whole experience has been great and I highly recommend them for whoever is having water issues in their basement or crawl space.
The inspector, TJ, and the crew manager, Elias, were both both courteous, straightforward, and knowlegeable. The work was done well and on time. Their pricing was quite a bit lower than the other companies, although, it seems to me, still expensive for the time and materials involved.
Very professional and on schedule
Installed sump pump. Didn’t press for the more expensive, expansive project. I appreciated that. I also loved that they communicated and set times and dates and confirmed. So far so good. We will see if problem is resolved.
Beware of these basement companies. Carolina basement systems uses their engineers who never come on site and evaluate any of their work. Their work is evaluated over teleconference with employees that measure and never followed up. We had an offsite engineer that kept making them fix very flawed work. Do not go with this company. You can do better looking elsewhere. The whole process took us out of our home for weeks and it was like they did not know what they were doing at every part of the project. In specifically to an engineer Then one of the managers yelled at my significant other when they were called out for not following the engineers guidelines. They installed their product incorrectly and it took weeks to correct weeks to correct the mistake which took us away from our home, they agreed to pay for the housing but they backed out of that agreement. The company owner has posted my personal life, trying to defame me. He left us with 23,000 dollars damage and housing and extra work and he agreed to pay us this money but he back out of his end. We have Adios and video proof of all of this.
Excellent and timely job
System was installed on time as scheduled. Customer service was great, all questions or concerns were addressed. Would recommend the company to anyone with water leaking in basement.
