Maple City Tree Specialist

Dennis Jeffers, the owner of Maple City Tree Specialists, has two sons and two nephews to form his crew. They completed my project 7-19-18 in about 4 hours, doing what I asked and clarifying with me before leaving that all was completed as I wanted. They cut down a tall, dead elm by driving their bucket truck outside and parallel to a 6’ fenced yard with a house close-by and secondary electrical wire to avoid. (The electric company wouldn’t take this project on, as it was a secondary line.) This project seemed like an ordinary, fairly easy job for Dennis/crew, whereas other tree companies either wouldn’t take on the job or treated it as a huge risk. They charged $900 to cut down the tree; this did not include clean-up or removal of wood, as we wanted to save money and could do this ourselves. This price was considerably less than other quotes I received. It cost $100 more to trim up some nearby branches from other trees. One piece of wood bounced when it hit the ground and broke a piece of my wooden fence. I value and respect Dennis’ honesty in showing this to me and asking how I would like to deal with it. I requested $10 to replace the broken board; he gave me $20. It would be a simple fix and not require a claim being made. This company has a $1 million liability insurance, which is typical coverage. Because they are honest, quality professionals they are in high demand and have quite a waiting list. I waited almost 2 months for them to complete my project; they had hoped to do it within 3 weeks. I must say it was worth the wait, although challenging as I called numerous times to get updates and they didn’t respond. It took my persistence to get them to make my project a priority. Texting Dennis is the best way to get a response. I highly recommend Maple City Tree if you are willing to wait and be persistent in striving to contact them. They are courteous and polite. (Word to the wise: if you have a dead tree, get it down asap, as it will become increasingly dried out and brittle. No one will be willing to climb it and it will require a bucket truck, which is more expensive.)

Came in two days after Dennis gave me a quote. Took down three trees and cleaned up everything and were done in 4 hours. Very easy to work with and all this at a fair price.

The workers were friendly and was easy to work with. They had a good attitude and seem to enjoy their work like true professionals....

Did exactly what they said they would do, cleaned everything up, good job. I just wish they would have kept in touch to tell me when they were coming. Other than that, they did fine.

It took about three weeks for them to come but when they did, they did a very good job.

Did an excellent job. Tree looks like a new one. Better then I thought it would look like. Crew did a great job of cleaning everything up after completion. Will recommend to anyone that needs a tree specialist.

Very busy so we waited over a week. Worth the wait. Very efficient and removed cut waste to specs.
