I cannot recommend Larry/McGee Construction highly enough. We hired Larry on the recommendation of friends after our condo flooded due to a plumbing mishap in our building. We basically had to rebuild the place from scratch. Larry (and all of his employees and subcontractors) was fantastic throughout every aspect of the process. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable, and referred us to great vendors who helped us make the dozens and dozens of choices we suddenly had to make. He even met us at the stone yard/flooring vendor to help us pick materials. He was also more than willing to work with a good friend of mine who was able to provide cabinets at cost. All of the work came out great, and on budget. We could not be happier.

I highly recommend McGee Construction for any house projects you might have. I bought my house in March and started a remodel in June, which included adding a master bedroom and bath, gutting the kitchen and living room and also gutting the existing bathrooms. Larry held my hand through the whole process. He was helpful, enthusiastic, trust worthy, responsible and reliable. His subs were great too. He was very conscious of my budget at all times and was also able to do excellent work. His expertise about how things should look and the kinds of products we should use was enormously helpful. I didn't know what I was doing at all and I never felt as though Larry took advantage of that in any way. I didn't give him 5 starts for small reasons. One reason is his electrician, which he has since stopped using, I didn't feel was up to the same caliber of his other subs. Also, the timeline and payment schedule is very loose. This made me a little nervous because I had heard that contractors can really take advantage of you, but although loose, there were no surprises in the end. The project took longer than I had wanted it to, but there was never any down time. There were always people there working. It really did take as long as it took to get all of it done. Larry is a wonderful contractor and also just a wonderful person. I believe you will not only get the house of your dreams, but you will enjoy working with him as well.
