I am very pleased with the quality of the deck that Mike and his team installed. Mike built an affordable deck and his price is competitive with other companies. Mike was very helpful providing information and guidance as I explained the kind of deck I required. This resulted in providing me a deck that I was very happy with. Mike and his crew did an outstanding job! They were ALWAYS on time (important to me) and communicated well as to what was going on. Permit was quickly and easily obtained and they obviously have a method to building that shortens the time as much as possible. Mike originally quoted 2 weeks and it took him 7 working days evening with afternoon thunderstorms cutting their day short 3 times. I was partial to veteran owned businesses and while I had other really good quotes, I am glad I made (for me) the best choice out there. Would I use Mike again? In a New York minute!!

MDH Decks, Mike Hays, completed our deck replacement with a new multi-level Trex deck and railing. Mike is professional, honest, and easy to work making this one of few times dealing with a contractor on a major project was a pleasant experience. No mistakes, unwarranted changes, delays, excuses, or cost overruns. Mike and his crew are meticulous in both work ethic and skilled craftsmanship, from design to completion. We appreciated the small crew (Jamie, Damyan, Mike and Clayton) who were all friendly, professional and respectful. MDH Decks did an outstanding job from demolition to completion. Mike was very thorough explaining everything that was going to take place during the installation of my TREX deck. He was also very responsive and answered every question I had. Mike and his crew worked as a team during the installation, and I could clearly see they were very confident in their abilities. Mike is a true professional and our entire experience with him and his team was outstanding. As the owner of MDH decks, Mike does the consultation and design himself, which eliminates a lot of overhead and put his quote several thousand dollars ahead of the larger companies we obtained quotes from. Throughout the planning/design phase, Mike was extremely upfront and honest about limitations of certain designs and benefits/drawbacks of specific styles, and it was extremely refreshing to have somebody who truly cared about us and our desires rather than just making money. Being a smaller company, Mike was present on the job site along with his crew and he came to the door to provide us project status updates at least daily, in addition to email updates, so we always knew the status of the project and what he expected to accomplish the next day. The final product is strong, beautiful, and better than anything we could have imagined. I'm truly grateful we found MDH decks and got to know Mike, and I give my absolute highest recommendation to him and his company.
