Andy from JV Cabinets initially called me for an ask in HomeAdvisor and gave a quote. Infact he even pointed out how the microwave height above the range was not in compliance and that their team can fix that too. We liked what we heard even though he gave a heads-up that the materials may take 7 weeks to arrive for the refacing work to begin. The day we got into contract, the Bay area counties issued shelter-in-place order because of COVID-19 and two days later, the whole of California state went into shelter-in-place. Andy assured that he will let us know if this work will not be completed as promised because of any manufacturing delays. Jaime, who took the measurements, constantly tracked the order at manufacturing end and got back within 3 weeks to say that the materials are ready and all the work will be completed in ONE DAY. I was more than happy to get the update. The team arrived on time on the day of work and completed everything before 6 pm. We did refacing of kitchen and bathroom cabinets : it also involved adding a cabinet, replacing the drawers. They also helped with installing a pantry we had ordered. I can not appreciate enough their CRAFTSMANSHIP and PROFESSIONALISM. They went the extra mile to make sure the pantry we got blended well with the rest of the cabinets by filling any gap in between and attaching the handles etc. The crown molding and toekicks etc make our [sub]compact kitchen look larger. Kudos to Jaime and team ! Will recommend them to any friends and family looking to do cabinet work. Feeling thankful to JV Cabinets for the QUICK AND QUALITY WORK DONE WITHIN A DAY amidst this COVID-19 situation.

The situation We were looking to remodel our 20x10 kitchen in SF and were looking through many different options for remodeling (new cabinets, floors, lights, countertops, etc.). Given that we were mostly looking to keep the same layout with minor tweaks, we thought this would be a straight forward project. We took a few bids from different contractors and quickly realized that this was going way beyond our budget. We stumbled upon JV cabinets by chance as we were researching refacing, and found that they could provide a fresh new look for our kitchen at about half the price. The plan We met with Jorge initially to learn about refacing, and to review the different materials and finishes they used on their cabinets. Jorge patiently took the time to answer all of our questions about the process and how they envisioned refacing our existing layout. He gave us numerous suggestions to convert our existing cabinets to utilize soft close drawers, garbage pullouts, spice racks, and various other configurations. They are fairly flexible in the types of configurations possible, and even talked about countertops and sinks options. Jorge helped us with a couple different design candidates, and left it open to us to think over. We chatted with Jorge a couple more times (in person and over the phone) before we finally decided to move forward. He was professional and respectful, and we never felt pressured into anything decisions. Once we agreed to move forward, Jaime Jr. came out to measure and finalize a plan with us. The Waiting Period Once we had decided to move forward, the next step was an 8 week wait for the cabinets to arrive. During this time, we continued to make tweaks to the design that Jaime was able to graciously accommodate. This was important to us as we were still continuing to refine our kitchen remodel design over those 8 weeks, including updating other parts of the kitchen. Execution Once the cabinets were ready, Jaime Sr. came out to do the cabinetry. They sent different teams for different parts of the kitchen (cabinet team and countertop team). The work was fast and efficient, taking about 3 days. This was much better than the 8 week quotes we were getting for a full kitchen remodel. Jaime Sr was amazing to work with, and proudly stands behind his work and materials. He was quick to redo any detail work we wanted tweaked, and he really felt like a partner in helping us remodel our kitchen. This included help with some small detail work that was outside the scope of our contract. Overall, it was clear that he would not settle until we were satisfied. Followup A week after the kitchen was complete, Jaime Jr. scheduled a followup to come back. We had began to break in our new kitchen, and had found a few quirks in our use of it (cabinet door alignment, nicks in the trim, missing cabinet bumpers, etc). Jaime as usual went above and beyond, taking care of everything we asked for as well as adding in some nice finishing touches. Again customer service here was impeccable. Overall It's been 6 months since our remodel, and we are still quite pleased with the quality of the cabinets. Our favorite part of the remodel is the high quality drawers, which operate butter smooth even when loaded with heavy pans. We chose white cabinets, and we haven't had any major stains or damage so far. Highlights - JV cabinets really works as a partner to ensure you will walk away with a kitchen you are happy with - JV cabinets is a family business, and it is clear they work hard to provide a service they are proud to put their name on - Execution speed was vastly better than any kitchen remodel quote we received. If I could give Jaime and his team 6 stars I would. The JV team did an exceptional job. We had a very tight timeline and the team was able to get everything done before the holidays. Andy gave us a beautiful design and helped us make decisions to design a kitchen to meet our needs. Jaime did an excellent job with scheduling, measurements, communication, and following up, making sure we were happy every step of the way. The demolition and install crew was always on time, professional, and incredibly nice. We are thrilled with our new kitchen! The experience with JV Cabinets exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend.

I kept adding things to the refacing of cabinets in my kitchen. A carousel pull out in a deep corner lower cabinet is better than anything I ve seen in friends homes. I added a whole new cabinet under a bay window in my kitchen and it came out beautifully more than I expected. All upper cabinets had the bottoms reinforced too

After much debating about how we wanted to update the oak cabinets and window trims in our kitchen and family room, we scheduled a consult with JV Cabinets. Jorge set the tone for our relationship with this family-owned company: he was on time, professional, helpful, and accommodating. He presented us with samples of various products and listened to our thoughts and concerns. Once we agreed to the bid from Jorge, the process began - Jaime Sr. took measurements, specific products were selected, and orders placed. When the materials were delivered to JV, the work was scheduled at our convenience. The team of Jaime Sr., Jaime Jr., David, Miguel, and Matt arrived on time and fully prepared for work on our project. They were beyond efficient, considerate of our home and us, and meticulous about their work. When the project was complete, they left our home spotless. Communication, customer service, pride of workmanship, quality products, friendliness, reliability, and flexibility: all earn a five-star rating. We highly recommend JV Cabinets.

Just finished a kitchen remodel with JV Cabinet Makers. Cabinet re-facing, counter tops, backsplash, and also a custom hutch/cabinet. As a rule, It's hard to find people who exhibit pride and craftsmanship in their work these days. JV Cabinets is the exception to that rule! Quality of work, attention to detail, and overall result was fantastic. All of the personnel we worked with in this Family were professional and friendly. JV Cabinets did an excellent job on my kitchen cabinet refacing project. I could not be happier with the quality of the work. Andy the sales rep always responded to my questions quickly. Jaime who did the measuring and was the main contact on the job was amazing. They went above and beyond in terms of service.
