I had to call them several times. They said they would mow the lawn but they wanted commitment to cut every week.

I had sod put down about 3 weeks ago, by a different company. I was instructed to water it twice a day and not to mow it for 3 weeks. I followed the instructions and the lawn was very long (about 8 inches), green, and thick. I was told that when I start cutting it, don t take off more than 1/3 of the length at a time. When Jeffrey came out to look at the property and give me an estimate, I was very specific with my expectations. I have a lawnmower and a weed wacker, but since the grass was very long and could only be cut a small amount at a time I wanted to hire someone who would care for it properly. I do not have a lot of grass, but my yard is shaped funny and I have a chain-link fence all around it. Jeffrey told me that the first time would take about 2 hours so it would be double the price and then the upkeep weekly would be less. I was ok with that because I do not mind paying for quality work. He came the next day, which was great. He had about 3 guys with him and they went straight to work. I looked out the window and saw the track from the mower. It had cut the sod down to less than half the length that it was. I went outside and expressed my concern to Jeffrey. He was cutting the lawn too short. He told me that my grass was too long and that his mower was on the highest setting. The guys with the weed wacker were cutting it even lower on the edges. There are some spots that it is down to the base of the grass blade. He kept telling me that my lawn was too long to start and that he was doing what he could. He mowed in several different directions with a mower that was too big for the area. When he was almost finished, he called me outside to look. There was grass on several of the edges growing out through the fence. When I asked him about it, he told me that his mower can t fit there and that if I took my fence down, I could have a nice lawn. I asked him how we could take care of it without taking my fence down and he replied It s time-consuming. I have to have another guy to help me and hold the fence. I cannot be spending over an hour on a property this small. That s not how I cut lawns. I was pretty upset by now and he got another guy to hold the fence so he could edge out the lawn. All in all, this was a terrible experience. I could have done better myself and saved the money. His lack of concern for my satisfaction and obvious rush to just be done and move on to the next job was disappointing. They stayed for an hour and 10 mins and left several areas looking unfinished. When I asked him about the cost seeing as though he had quoted me for 2 hours and was leaving much sooner, he told me that the rate was a set rate no matter the time. It was as if we never had the consultation the evening before and a completely different person came in to cut my lawn. I will not be using them again and I would not recommend them to anyone else.

WE HAD JC LANDSCAPE BECAUSE MY WIFE IS VERY ILL AND I HAVE TO CARE FOR HER SO I DID NOT HAVE THE TIME TO DO MY SPRING CLEAN-UP. I FEEL THAT THEY JACKED UP THE PRICE AFTER I TOLD THEM WHY I NEEDED THEM. I HAVE A VERY SMALL LOT JUST AROUND 5,000 SQUARE FOOT. THEY CHARGE ME $300.00 DOLLARS, AFTER I CHECK ARROUND I FOUND THAT I COULD HAVE HAD IT DONE FOR ABOUT $100.00 DOLLARS LESS. THAT ALRIGHT BECAUSE I WILL HAVE TO HAVE SOME LANDSCAPE SERVICE TAKE OVER THE CARE OF MY LAWN AND I DON'T THINK THAT I WOULD TRUST THEM AGAIN. Ed S. FALL RIVER, MA.
