Jeffrey did great work finishing our basement. He responded to unexpected problems professionally, and kept the project on budget. The craftsmanship is fantastic and we're extremely satisfied with the end product. Would recommend JC Contracting to anyone!

I hope everyone has the pleasure of working with someone as creative, hardworking, and honest as Jeffrey. We took a chance with Jeffery not knowing him before working together. Now he's the only person we would trust with projects for our home. It started with a simple design for a basement bedroom that turned into a whole downstairs remodel - he designed and build three closets, a staircase, a bedroom, and a gorgeous bathroom. He is much more than a contractor - he's a project manager and creative visionary. He shows up on time, stays on budget, and always has a smile on his face. He is the type of person who takes the time to find the piece of matching tile or the perfect wood color, and he makes sure to spend your budget as if it was his own. No matter what, you are in good hands with Jeffrey and his team.

Jeffrey was punctual for all our meetings and on budget as well as finished on time. He was easy to deal with and very helpful.

Jeff and his team did an excellent job renovating an apartment building for me. They showed up on time, and stayed within budget. Very respectful, and a pleasure to work with always...

Disaster. He did not follow the architect's plans... claimed he could make it as work in progress which it was not As the contract specified per plan. Used materials not spec and 90% of the materials he claimed he bought were never delivered and the store can find no evidence of purchase. Quality was terrible and architect and JCâ s insurance carrier insisted the little work he did used non spec'd inferior or incorrect materials and was structurally unsafe and had to be taken down. For example he used pressure treated wood where it was not spec' d for the floor load and used finishing non weight bearing nails (which fell out within a day) where screws are required. He disappeared with $14K of my money and my materials and left me with leaks from the roof into my bedroom and bathroom, damaged gutters, soffits, eaves and downspouts. His damage and cost of removing his structurally unsafe work was in excess of $6,000. We have learned through his insurance carrier that he lied to them as well (claimed he was not doing any roofing when putting up a roof over an existing deck was the main part of the job) and Lied that he had no employees or subcontractors on the job, committing insurance fraud to get a lower premium. Lied to the state Re Workmenâ s comp and disability filing an Attestation of Exemption under penalty of perjury ... claiming he had no workers when he had two employees on the job. (He also claimed he had no subcontractors on the job). This man is a thief and a criminal who lied about his credentials and has never had a contractors license.. or even a home improvement license in NYC as he claimed.

Jeff and his son made my house into my dream home. He is communicative and always respected my input and my budget. Jeff really cares about fine craftsmanship and will treat your home with the utmost respect. The big projects he worked on include demolishing and renovating my bathroom, opening up the ceiling in my kitchen, adding skylights, installing and framing my windows, and lastly, installing exterior wooden siding. Jeff can do it all. Everyone who comes to visit marvels at his beautiful work. Very thankful for Jeff!
