Be sure to research your needs. Apparently there are two types of lights, yellow and soft white, but I didn't know the soft white weren't available due to Code; So I got yellow. Ask questions! The work was excellent, the painting was terrific; the timeliness was great. Nice people. Judith B.

Mark Hoadley was the general contractor for an extensive home remodel which included a closet and bathroom addition, full kitchen and bath remodel, and air conditioning among numerous other . Overall, I'd recommend him again, since he was the best that I could find, with very affordable pricing. Even so, there are some caveats to mention. First, I'd make sure you need general contractor for your project. The majority of the work (framing, electrical, plumbing, tilework, painting) was delegated to a 3 person team. In many cases, this is all you need, and you can work with such a team directly for your project. For a project of our size, we needed someone like Mark, and he fulfilled his role well. Pros: - Knowledgeable and competent. - Affordable. Gave us the best overall price on the work, and provided for several items at cost during the project. Overall, costs were very reasonable, though there was one instance where I saved considerable money by hiring a separate contractor for a small portion of the work. - A good communicator. Responds well to email and text messages. Language is clear and precise. Even so, I recommend giving important instructions by email, since they are easier to retrieve and reference. - Flexible. Accommodated multiple change orders and detailed requests throughout the project. Was cooperative in finding mutually beneficial solutions to nuanced design and construction challenges. - Transparent. Mark allowed me to work directly with his subcontractors to give instructions on specific details. This freedom allowed the project to run much smoother. - Honors his word. If a mistake is made by him or one of his workers, he takes care of it. - Access to a wide variety of professional contractors and suppliers. Cons: - Oversight needed. Its generally a good idea to inspect the progress of your project on a daily basis, regardless of contractor. I found this necessary, as I regularly uncovered errors or mistakes that needed to be corrected. Sometimes clear instructions (given months prior) were not followed, including items that made it into the permitted plans. Even so, Mark was there often to inspect the work, and I'm sure he took care of plenty of other issues without my involvement. When rework was necessary, it was handled professionally. - Occasional quality concerns. Overall the work was high quality (framing, electrical and roofing come to mind), but some of his subcontractors disappointed (cabinetry especially). Its hard to argue with the prices, but sometimes, you get what you pay for. - Schedule. We initiated several change orders from the baseline proposal. Even with this in mind, the project finished about 1 month later than I would expect. The project got off to a slow start (he was reluctant to start significant work without approved permits, even though there was plenty of non-permitted work to be done). Mark Is extremely proffesional friendly and Knowledgable . The Kitchen remodel came out great and beautiful . We would recommend Mark to anyone who needs a remodel .

Mark and his team are extremely professional. On our initial meeting, Mark listened to my description of what I wanted to accomplish, and then explained what the job would require and how it would be done in terms that I could understand. Although this job was a partial bath remodel (removal of large wall mirror, small medicine cabinet, and light bars; framing for new medicine cabinets, wiring for new light sconces, installing and finishing drywall, and installing new medicine cabinets and lighting fixtures) it was done with better care and quality than a full bath remodel I had done with someone else in the past. I am forever greatful that I meet Mark and his team, and he is the First person I will call in the future. So yes, I would and will recommend him to everyone who wants a quality professional.

Mark and his team did a great job on replacing wood due to termites throughout the whole 35 unit apartment. Stairway, roof, decks, balcony/patio, etc. Mark is a really nice guy, who will go out his way to meet your needs. If your looking for a professional job done, Mark is your guy!

I hired Mark Hoadley to install a new window in our home office. My wife and I are very happy with the job that Mark did for us. The quality of the new window is great and we found Mark to be responsive and professional. I would definitely recommend his company to others and hope to use him again for future projects.

I will definitely recommend Mark to everyone I know that is looking for a contractor that does excellent work and is reliable. I will also use him for any future projects that I have. He did a great job repairing and installing tile on a kitchen floor that was uneven. He also did some remodeling in my bathroom and did a wonderful job. I appreciated the fact that he and his crew were always on time, reliable, and very efficient.

I would like to recommend Mark and his team. They've been doing big house redo and small handyman jobs for almost twenty years in South Bay. They did a wonderful job fixing our room door, wood blinds, and water damaged ceiling; they were on-time, explained/ worked very well, and so nice. I'm very satisfied with their work :)

MARK AND HIS STAFF WENT WAY ABOVE THE CALL OF DUTY ON THE PROJECTS THEY PERFORMED FOR ME. I WILL DEFINITELY HIRE HIM AGAIN FOR FUTURE PROJECTS AROUND MY HOME.
