Kyle is very affable and approachable to work with. His crew worked diligently and cleaned up well from the roofing job. There was a callback issue but Kyle quickly returned to rectify the problem.

I hired Kyle to replace a 35 year old roof. He bent over backwards to get it done ending up doing on aSaturday. the only sunny day of the week. 7am to 8pm and the work was done and cleaned up beautifully.

I hired Kyle to remove and replace a 30 year old deck on my house. I found Kyle to be friendly, professional and honest. He and his partner did a great job and the quality of work was top notch. They took their time and did the job right using sound construction practices/no corners cut. They showed up every day and worked until the job was done. I had to compliment them on their work ethic. Kyle replaced some unforeseen rot in the header at no charge and gave me $250 break on fixing another unforeseen problem with the deck footings. From my experience Haggarty Contracting is definitely a company you might consider.

Kyle and his team have maintained and improved the townhouses in our associtation for a number of years. From gutters, to siding, to sheetrock (or anything else we need), Kyle has always taken care of us. He does excellent work, always answers our questions and feel safe working him.

Need to get three things before hiring them. Detailed invoice, agreed scheduled date and payment schedule. Also to get them signed.

    Response from Company:

Brian, I am sorry you feel that way. But when we started the project you were asking for the cheapest way to do the addition and that means basics will be installed. When you add several different components to the job, the price has to increase. Its not something that I will pay for out of my pocket. I appreciate the work and I wish the best for you and your family moving forward. Thanks again for the opportunity.

Be extremely specific about what you want done, right down to the most minimum detail and be sure it is written in the contract. Some of the issues I have been left with are: cuts/joints in moulding and casings don't meet; exterior doors were not hung properly so they leak air (solution: I was told to install storm doors); extensive use of silicone/caulking to close up gaps due to poor cuts; windows are not straight in the casings (or the casings aren't straight, I'm not sure which); toilet and sink drains and water pipes (from a toilet and sink Haggerty Contracting removed) were left exposed up through the floor and closed off with duct tape. From the outside, the addition looks like a half of a mobile home attached to my 1895 home and does not match the style of the house. In all fairness, Kyle did a good job installing the pine flooring.

    Response from Company:

This is what no good deed goes unpunished means. We completed this project 12 months ago and only till now after I declined to give her my social security number she has posted this bad rating. Donna contacted me 14 months ago complaining about the cost of other contractors pricing and asked if I could remove an old giant shed and build her a laundry room and a bath room with closet and hallway off the back of her house on a very slim budget. The normal cost was about 10k dollars higher then she could afford. So I said I would help her out if she did the painting and purchased the flooring. woops. big mistake. I'm regretting it now more then ever. I have no idea what trim she is talking about but wasn't an issue when I was there. Doors were hung properly. she definitely needs storm doors. I even offered to pay for them and she could pay me back. She declined showing that she didnt want to solve the problem. We did remove toilet from old bathroom and stuffed a rag in drain pipe and sealed it off so gases wouldn't go into the house. we were not there to remodel that bathroom just remove the toilet and sink. Upon working on the electrical we discovered that the panel was so outdated and overfilled with breakers that it was only a matter of time before an electrical fire was created. we replaced the panel completely for 300 less than normal. not one thank you just why does it cost so much. we also added gutters, a back porch with steps and did painting (her responsibility)on a Sunday at no extra cost because I always like to do a extra for my customers. upon receiving final payment she called me the next day swearing emotionally and personally attacking me and none of it had to do with my workmanship. I have never experienced that with any customer ever before, I love my customers and love working with Home Advisor!
