Write a ReviewGreat guys. Zak is on it. Is a pleasure working with him on our backyard. They added a 20 foot by 40 foot patio cover, pavers, fire pit, lawn and sprinklers. After the work was completed when a problem with the add on came up I called Zak and he was on top of fixing the problems quickly. As we add more and more to the yard they ll always be our first call.
Jason,Thank you so much for the kind words. Zak appreciates them as well. We both look forward to possibly work together on new projects in the future. Thank you and all the best, Adam Zak.
Gold Standard Builders actually did 5 things: sandblasted house, re-stuccoed, stripped chimney of peeling paint and restored the natural brick, replaced my driveway and replaced an old chain link fence with a pretty wooden one. This was all done in less than 2 weeks! They did a great job.
Jill, Thank you for your kind comments. This was our second project and it was a pleasure working with you again! Thank you, Best, Adam
Adam was great to work with, they did an addition and remodel for us.
I enjoyed working with Gold Standard Builders and I really love the two bathrooms they did for us, but I have to share what I've shared with friends looking for a contractor. They do great work, but you have to be prepared to do all of the designing. (You're responsible for all fixtures and if you've never researched shower systems and permit restrictions, etc. then the process can get overwhelming quickly. We weren't aware we needed asbestos testing until a friend inquired and only then did they do it. I provided a spreadsheet of all products we were planning to buy with dimensions. I assumed the team was taking the details into consideration, but they didn't so they didn't measure out the medicine cabinet correctly and it led to extra projects correcting the paint. The vanity's size wasn't considered and they learned at the very end that it didn't fit which led to added weeks of trying to work around the mistake. (This is the only reason they received a 4 and not a 5. The team didn't share with us that they didn't close the wall behind our vanity. We randomly found it, but once we did and told Adam and the team they worked to correct it in order to make it safe.) That being said, if you sit down with them and plan out those things in advance you'll get amazing work. They work with skilled teams who do amazing work. We have a custom vanity that is one of my favorite pieces in my whole house.
Hi Tish It was a pleasure working with you. We did not think about a mold test initially because the house was remodeled a couple of years ago with permits so we just assumed that a mold test would have been performed already. (Or at least should have been). As to the vanity issue, that was my personal mistake. We learn from those. Thanks again and all the best, Adam
Gold Standard Builders helped my mom demolish an unpermitted patio, demolish and replace the old roof, demolish an old concrete slab, build a new patio and pour a new slab. If you decide to chose this company, keep on top of the project to report issues immediately, because this company works fast, so if you don't catch it then you may be very upset after all the work is done. My mom caught their subcontractor modifying the new patio without consulting her first. This issue resulted in an unexpected change that cost us $1.5k more. Overall the project cost $43k including permits. There were times when my mom got very upset, but Adam and his partner were able to address the issues. Overall, I think they will listen to your concerns and try their best to make sure your project happens the way you want. At the end of the project, my mom was satisfied.
Raymond, thank you for your comments. Just to clarify, every project we do has to adhere to strict city and State codes. In this case, your mom wanted the patio ceiling higher than was possible by code. This resulted in dividing the patio cover into TWO separate patio covers to accommodate the height your mom wanted. I agree that we could have communicated this better. However, this was the only way in order to comply with the code AND satisfy your mom's wishes. This also resulted in the extra cost of $1,500 which was the cost of material and labor only! No profit was added to this cost. We appreciate you trusting in us and the last time I visited the house your mom told me she was very happy. Thank you and all the best to your family.
Gold Standard Builders recently completed a large renovation project for me including a concrete patio, balcony and patio cover, custom water feature, outdoor kitchen and a 55 ft wall with steps to my front entry. They were very professional and organized each step of the way and provided complete project management with design, engineering and permits. They were very good at communicating with each step of the project. Their prices are fair and they are reliable and honest. I appreciate how accommodating and flexible they were with all my complicated and detailed requests. They are very good at problem solving and will go the extra mile to make sure their customer is satisfied.
Julie, Thank you for the kind words. I must say that this is the first time a client was more on top of upcoming payments than we were... It was very much appreciated:) Thanks again, Best to you and the family. Adam
Adam and his group were willing to work around my timing and the needs of my little dog. I appreciate the personal attention, and I sleep better knowing the major repair to my home has been done well.
Dear Jill Thank you so much for your kind words. It has been a pleasure working with you. Adam
Adam and his crew were very responsive to changes and additions to the work project. They remodeled our master bath and kitchen. The only issue we experienced was a delay in the cabinet installation which was no fault of Adam or his crew as the cabinet vendor was the cause of the installation and final completion of the project.
This was an incredible experience and outcome. I have already recommended him to my son and several co-workers. They are honest and fair. They went above and beyond and added additional work without charging - this includes a second story balcony and patio cover. He genuinely cares about his home owners and their needs and wants and really listens. I met with Zaher every morning to review the project. Communication was excellent throughout the project as well as follow-up ensuring all our expectations were being met. I cannot say enough good things about Gold Standards and if I were to do it all over I wouldn't change a thing. I strongly recommend Zaher and his crew. He ensured all permits were in order and everything up to code. This is a true professional.
We really appreciate your kind words. It was a pleasure working with you and your wife. Thank you!
Adam was very helpful and prompt.
