I wrote a review for GWP Contracting yesterday after the repair was completed, but since I do not see it posted I am writing another. I hired GWP to do a repair of a header over one of my garage doors. I had noticed it was completely rotted and the trim attached to it had fallen off. Gary Paige of GWP was prompt, attentive and methodical in how he approached the job. Being the garage door hardware was attached on the inside and the houses siding and trim on the outside, it was not a simple fix. Gary did an exemplary job of taking the repair step by step, sort of like taking apart a puzzle. He removed the rotted header and discovered the damage was not due to water as I had thought, but due to carpenter ants and a large nest of them at that. Gary eradicated the nest and then set to work on replacing header. The work he did was perfect, you would never know any work had been done. Everything is as it was. The siding and garage door hardware went back on and I am very satisfied with his work. In addition, Gary is a great person, courteous, attentive, intelligent and he could be one of my 3 sons. I will hire Gary again as need be and I recommend him highly. He is what the American worker used to be, and the few that still are, caring for the customer and dedicated to doing a great job. I hired Gary Paige of GWP Contracting LLC after I met him personally when he came to give me an estimate. Sure I could attempt this work myself, but I am not an expert. My wife Mary has always told me there is never time to do it right, but there is always time to do it again. I did not want this work done again. It was a structural issue, not something I wanted to chance. I am an electrician, not a carpenter. My brother is, but it would take an act of God to get him here. Gary was prompt, professional, mannered and extremely courteous. The exact type of individual I would want in my residence. He worked diligently in the extreme heat and humidity and I offered any assistance he required, which was minimal. He ripped out one of my garage headers, which after only 17 years we thought was damage from water, but it was from carpenter ants which still had a large nest. He eradicated the pests the best he could with help from several helpings of Raid, replaced the garage header with fresh wood and left my house looking exactly the same as it did when I had it built in 1998. If anyone out there in my area needs any kind of carpentry work, than Gary Paige is the one you want. I felt he could have been one of my 3 sons. Polite, hard working, diligent in the task at hand as anyone would want. He is young and supporting a family in our area. Give him your support. He is the type of individual that makes America great. I contacted Gary and received a quote to move a wall of kitchen cabinets to make room for a wider range, install a warming drawer and replace a 30" range hood with a 36" hood. Throughout the process, Gary and his team were a pleasure to work with. When hiring a pro to accomplish something prone to be difficult, I look for someone who is a creative problem solver. Try taking apart a wall of kitchen cabinets and granite counters and reinstalling them 6" to one side. Almost impossible to do so and keep everything looking new when they weren't built to be taken apart and reassembled. Gary and his crew were so inventive and showed amazing initiative to work through the challenges. I was stunned by how well they carefully accomplished something that was really an unknown challenge. They met each puzzle with ingenuity and insight. Most contractors would simply not take it on because of the risk of damaging something. The result is perfect and the new larger hood and range fit perfectly! Fair price, responsive service and professional expertise are the hallmark of GWP Contracting. Well done and thank you. I absolutely would hire them again for my next project.

I contacted Gary for a quote on interior wall/ceiling repair/replacement and exterior shingle/gutter/siding repair/replacement. He came by the next day and then within 24 hours had given a quote. Given that there was some work that could only be determined once the area was opened up, some of the specific tasks had "subject to" pricing which is fine. Gary and his workers were on time, did the work neatly and cleaned up every night. Bottom line, the job was finished on time and for a reasonable price. Quality of the work was more than satisfactory. I would recommend GWP Contracting for any task you might require around your house. I will use them again if the need arises.

Gary and his crew did a really great job -- they worked through a big project with many steps and the end result was excellent -- custom cabinets, refacing, and molding for the ceiling. When there were issues he called and talked through them, adjusting his quote fairfly and openly.

Project: Installing a shower door Gary was great! He was the first to call out of the three recommended companies and he came and gave an estimate the same day. He began what he thought would be an easy, hour long job only to find that the fiberglass shower was incorrectly installed and was uneven. He offered to fix the new door in his shop to make it fit. We were grateful that he had the resources to fix the problem. very pleasant. We will hire him again.
