Repair or Service a Central Air Conditioning System

Frozen Cactus saved the day. I have a rental property and of course on the day a new tenant checks in, the AC wonâ t turn on?! I put in a request on Angiâ s and Frozen Cactus called me before I even closed my phone. The tech came over, fixed the issue with the condensation drain, did a few other things , then boom! . AC was cooling and tenants were happy. Fantastic service!

Frozen Cactus Air did an amazing job replacing my AC unit in Phoenix! They were knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. When my old unit couldn't be repaired, they were able to quickly install a new system in two days. They also provided portable AC to keep my home cool throughout the installation process. I am so glad I went with Frozen Cactus Air! My AC was not keeping temp on a Friday afternoon and I was sure I was going to be without air conditioning for the weekend unless I paid the high emergency prices companies usually charge. Thankfully very soon after I submitted for work on Angi, Caleb text and then called me. He was nearby and had my system cooling in no time and the price was so reasonable. I will only be calling Frozen Cactus from now on.

Caleb explained which filter is best for my system, and I was so thankful cause it is always so confusing when I try to decide. He helped set my thermostat so I did not have to deal with the annoying schedule that is built into it. I highly recommend Frozen Cactus if you want your AC to be less confusing!

We were very impressed with Frozen Cactus and Caleb’s attention to detail and professionalism. He arrived when he said he would and sat down with us after his inspection and gave us his diagnosis and prognosis. And was honest about the fact that this job was beyond his scope as we have more of a commercial unit and he recommended another company that may be able to help us. Again, I would highly recommend Caleb and Frozen Cactus.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
