Write a ReviewGreat Service.
Good work.
Hired this professional to assess structure of a wall and to draw plans for permits. Held up project for 2 months after several denials from city because of lack of information in plans. I had to hire someone else to redo this job. Cost me the same amount, but hurt because I basically paid twice for the same job. Would never recommend.
We were hired to determine if the walls that they were planning to remove are load-bearing, and if yes provide a modification drawing. City feedback was mainly to add electrical layout and verification of exiting layout of the entire house. The customer paid additional fees for electrical as it was not part of the initial scope work which we provided within our agreed timeframe. But the feedback-related verification of the existing layout and configuration/assembly of other areas seemed different so we requested this customer to schedule a conference call with the city reviewer (without any fees). During the conference call with the city representative, we surprisingly came to know that this building was illegally registered with the city and therefore requires a permit related to change of use. This customer hides this important information from us. The requirement of change of use needed us to gather more information from the site and we provided our quote for this additional scope of work. During this overall project, we responded to 38 emails, more than 10 phone calls. During three phone conversations, she brought three different personal (who identified themselves as her contractor/realtor agent etc.) who spoke with a raised voices to establish their opinion. After each phone call, this customer followed up with her apology and mentioned that they should have acted professionally. Furthermore, upon providing our quote for this additional scope (change of use) one of her partners replied (with cc?ed this customer) that they no longer needed this additional service. This customer again called back and informed us she didn?t even know why her partner responded like that but as long as our drawing contains structural modification (which was our primary scope of work) it should be ok. In summary, either way, she had to pay for this additional scope work so not sure why it hurts her.
Timely, easy to get ahold of.
We have successfully completed two project with them. They worked very professionally. We obtained permit very easily. Overall great experience.
They received full payment as pre-payment ( their condition) and after receiving feedback about the first draft and termination of the assignment never refunded for incomplete work and never provided final stamped plan. They are defensive and argumentative. I will never hire them again.
They are honest
