Write a ReviewFrom the initial meeting to completion of job, Corey our project manager was very professional and kept us up to date on all aspects of the job. Would recommend Fletcher's to anybody needing home repairs/renovations.
Had Corey as our project manager. Communication was poor. Wasn't immediately put on the schedule, as other work was ahead of us. Were told we would have at least a week's heads up. Got two days. Not an issue as far as getting the work done, but was promised (via email) that we'd have more notice. Project took almost two full days to complete. Corey called his office at the end of the first day, and told them the project was done. I know this because I received a courtesy call the morning of day two asking if everything went alright. I told the caller the workers were still there, and still had a lot of work to do, which flustered her, cause she was told it was done. The crew looked like any other roofing contractor there. Someone was home most of the day during the work. We never once saw anyone from Fletcher there checking on the work. Work was finished after two days. Biggest flaw I can see from the ground is they ruined the flashing over the kitchen window and sliding glass door. Replacing it wasn't on the contract. They globbed some black sealant over the new nails (picture included). A third of end of the window flashing isn't even nailed down (also picture included). What concerns me most about this is, if they did something with such poor quality and completely visible to the homeowner, how bad did they do the roof which can't be seen? At this point, we had never once met, or even seen Corey, our project manager. Siding went more smoothly except for one irritant. I specifically told them I didn't want Corey as our project manager, and was told that wasn't a problem. Signed the contract and, lo and behold, Corey is our project manager. Actually met the guy this time. He told me the down spout would be included in the project, per the insurance estimate. Still have the original down spout. I would never use Fletcher again, and would advise anyone asking for contractors to avoid them.
Mr. [Member Name Removed], thank you for your feedback but I am a little confused. We installed your new roof over 3 months ago and had no idea you were not happy with the piece of apron flashing. This is the first we are hearing of this. The flashing you are talking about is called Apron Flashing and it is not ruined and is installed correctly. However if we would have known you didn't like the way it looked we would have gladly come out and installed a new piece for you...but again this is the first we are hearing of this 3 months later. With your new roof you also received from us GAF's Golden Pledge warranty which gives you a 25 year workmanship warranty...to address your "how bad did they do the roof that can't be seen" comment. As far as you never seeing anybody from Fletcher at your home... the men tearing off and installing the 7,000 pounds of shingles work for Fletcher Construction. We have installed hundreds of roofs and have never received a bad review. I also don't understand if you were so unhappy with our roofing service why in the world did you call us back for your siding project 2 months later? I am going to address your downspout statement: We contracted with you to replace the siding on your right elevation...nothing in your contract states install a new downspout and this was never even mentioned. If you would like a new downspout installed then you should let us know and we can give you a price for this. We are not just going to start installing things on your home that are not agreed upon. If you say your insurance is paying for a downspout then you need to talk to your insurance company. Please don't state that we didn't do things that were not contracted and have nothing to do with our service to you. You have also not paid us for the siding job so whenever you would like to do that would be appreciated! I wish I could leave a grade for you as a customer because it would be an F. Please feel free to call the office as well. 540-300-1567
Fletcher did an excellent job on the roof repair. The price was very high. It was $800 for 3 hours of work by an experienced roof repairman, and included about $50 worth of material. This seems high, but the other roofers who visited (both Home Advisor companies and others) wanted to do a bigger job than I thought I needed.
They were the first to arrive and provide an estimate for my roof repair and they were ready to go to work when they arrived. Excellent work for a fair price.
Carlos came and inspected my roof to find the source of a leak tracking the exhaust pipe after downpours. He showed me the rubber flanges on all 4 exhaust pipes had deteriorated, and replaced them, and caulked the chimney and other areas which had similarly deteriorated. A week later, similar leak! I called the office and Carlos came out the next day and hosed down the roof, while he EXHAUSTIVELY rechecked the caulking, shingling, went into the attic to check the subroofing, etc. He finally fashioned some copper covers for the flanges as the only access point he/I could imagine based on the examination of everything else. Yesterday we had a massive rainstorm, and NO WATER at all. Carlos' conscientious work solved a problem whose solution was not obvious. I am very pleased with his work and the outcome.
Outstanding work completed on both replacing roof and siding. Work was done in a timely manner (over two days) and Project Manager ensured that job was done to our complete and total satisfaction. Highly Recommend this Company for your Roof, Siding and other Home Construction Projects!!
Roof looks great. Did all in one day. Thorough. Professional. Would definitely recommend them. Extremely responsive to phone calls & questions.
After the hailstorm most houses in my neighborhood still had not heard from their contractors that came out of nowhere to do the work. I signed my deal with Fletcher on a Friday, Roof was finished on Tuesday. Siding finished a few days later. My neighbors still haven't heard from the other companies they signed with before getting a quote.
Mr Fletcher and his crew were very conscientious and did excellent job. Highly recommended.
