Reviews
Write a ReviewExcellent experience with Derrick Smith of Fenscapes. The job was done well, the price was inbeatable, and he did great work for us. Very friendly and easy going. Would hire him again in a heartbeat. Rich and Sonja Ryan
We love our Deck. Derek was knowledgeable, did great work and was very professional
Derrick was outstanding. The work was finished in 2 days. The materials and craftsmanship were top quality. And best of all, the price was less than half of what others had proposed.
I am very pleased with everything about this contractor. His knowledge, workmanship, and attention to detail far exceed many with whom I worked in the past. They rebuilt my deck, which was no small task. Every day they left the work area clean and presentable. The lines are straight and the detailed cuts are nearly perfect. I must say it's good to work with craftsmen that know their trade. Thanks.
Once they started the work, they showed up everyday until they finished. It was the middle of December and cold but this didn't stop then from working.job was done professional and they did everything that we discussed.
Derek, Danny, and John did an excellent job on rebuilding my deck. The quality of materials and workmanship was outstanding. I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of deck work.
Do not believe anything they tell you. Every time I'd ask when work would be completed, they'd say: "two more days." Those "two more days" stretched from mid-May (when they demolished the existing deck) into September, when they finally completed the deck. They never repaired the walk they tore up and we had to withhold payment to get them to finish the job, run the railings the entire length of the staircase, and redo the stairs to look like the original drawing in the contract. The owner will tell you one thing, but the actual workmen will take the cheapest, laziest means to do the work. Hold them to the contract drawing and don't give them final payment until the work is done as per original agreement.
Sorry you were not satisfied with the work. The stair and rail were a difference in opinion in design aesthetics, which replaced at considerable expense to myself. I dont believe we did any damage to walk, all materials were carried through the grass and there was no heavy equipment on site. If there was an issue at the time we would have addressed it if you brought it to our attention. If there is anything you would like to discuss feel free to call me. 717.324.1266
They provided a graphical design with multiple option. The design was on point and very professional.
Great. Job looks great so happy with the work well done
This firm is a top-notched, very professional organization. The work was exceptional. We were so pleased with the outcome of the deck work that we will be having more decks updated in the future.
