The owner, Jon, was very communicative and provided a quick and competitive quote. The team who did the actual painting showed up on time and did the work quickly and with care, even with the added difficulty of vaulted ceilings. I had one touch up request (to be expected for such a large job), and Jon sent the team out the very next day without any issue. Great customer service!

I went with New Horizon because they are a local business, were professional, and clearly understood what my deck staining project required. The crew did a great job power washing the deck and applying the stain. They were very professional, completed the job as quickly as the weather allowed, kept the job site clean, and didn't leave any trace when they were done. I definitely will call them again for similar projects.

I hired Jon and his crew to build a deck on the back of my house with a screen porch underneath. He built it so sturdily that the inspector asked whether we were going to put a hot tub on it. From the beginning to the end, Jon was communicative and honest in his assessment of time and materials costs. I particularly appreciated that he involved me at every decision point, down to whether I cared whether the exposed heads of some screws matched others (I didn't). This review is nearly a year late, but it's given me the chance to see how his construction holds up through a cold winter and a hot summer, with a lot of use of both levels of the deck. It's exceptional work. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire him for any serious construction project.

Jon is excellent to work with so I highly recommend him. You will get great value for your money. He stands by his work and will work hard to satisfy your needs. He has done painting and remodeling work for us and we would certainly use him again. One thing that stands out compared to other contractors we have contacted is that he is responsive to phone calls and email and he is honest when working out the costs.

Good communication an professional work

Jon and his son did a great job painting the interior walls of our house and the ceiling in one room. They were very nice to work with, very helpful, and did good quality work for a reasonable price. We hired them again to fix the drywall in our basement and will definitely hire them again for any future projects where they would be needed.
