Reviews
Write a ReviewCarol was very good at helping us to articulate what it was we wanted in a redesign of our kitchen. She pays particular attention to detail and gave great suggestions for where to find materials.
Thank you Pat for your wonderful review. I enjoyed assisting you with the redesign of your kitchen.
She knew right what I needed and put me at ease with the things I needed for the city Update April 2019: I feel that I was taken advantage of, she initially quoted me $4000 - $5000, when all was said and done the price came out to be $5000 more with no explanation, For what I had done and what was already existing, I feel that the work done was no adequate for the final price. I am still not sure what made the price go up $5000 for this project.
Thank you, Tom, for taking the time to write this review. My goal is to be as clear as possible when speaking with clients. During our initial phone call you were quoted $5000 - $10,000 and when you questioned me on that, I advised you that a considerable amount of work was required by the city including engineering. Even though you had the existing shell of the space, your project was equivalent to that of a new home. Due to the nature of your project the city additionally required us to draw all four elevations of the other home on the property. The drawings went through the city without being returned to us, as the required drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, lighting & electrical, HVAC, notes and calculations were included. The amount of work in the drawings you received justifies what was invoiced. Your final invoice was almost $1000 dollars less than I quoted and it included the engineering bill and all four elevations of the other home on the property, which I was not planning on. Engineering costs are typically not included in my estimates and are billed separately by the engineer. When you received the invoice you questioned the amount again and I reminded you of our original conversation. I am sorry for the confusion, I always want our clients to be happy. Sincerely, Carol Ellis, Allied ASID Interior Designer
We have tabled the project until fall/winter. We are in consultation with the interior decorator of this group. We are completely satisfied. Carol made suggestions for us to consider, and made us feel that we could certainly call her later in the year for more extensive advice.
Carol is Very good at what she does, listening to who you are and what you are trying to accomplish. she has great taste and works with you to create what you want. She has good communication skills and stays on top of the project at hand
