He took his rough plumbing check and has now dissappeared. If you look at the reviews on here. They're clearly fake. All done within a month of each other to boost his star ratings. This guy is a shyster! Buyer BEWARE! George Kosova from EKO plumbing. I'm sure he'll be changing his name soon. Picture is of a "T" on its back. Plumbing 101 says you cannot do this EVER. Unless maybe on a vent pipe BUT not a drain.

George is one of the most arrogant and dishonest plumbers I have worked with. He and his team improperly installed a water main line 12 inches below the sidewalk and when winter came along, it froze and his reply was it is not my problem then tried to bill me again for another $11,500.

George called me to tell me when he was on his way, and he was extremely prompt. George was so professional and well-mannered. He fixed the problem promptly and explained the repairs. His estimate was dead on and much lower than other companies. George was able to quickly remove the old knobs and faucet off of the tub and replace everything. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any work done. I will definitely use them again in the future if I need to.

George from Eko is extremely professional, on-time, reliable and honest!!!!!!! I needed a valve replaced on my toilet and he treated my small job as if it was a major priority. And the price was cheaper than other quotes I got from local plumbers. Eko is now my "go-to" for all plumbing repairs!!! I can't say enough about how awesome they are!!

He really makes the time to do your repairs and listens to your concerns. I had two toilet down and a cracked pipe which was in wall between living and dining room I was so happy he did the work quickly and he was reasonable all before the blizzard .fanastic job

We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us to investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
