Reviews
Write a ReviewRobert reconstructed a wooden back yard gate. Did an excellent job and the time he quoted for the job, he accomplished. Family was very pleased with the finished product.
Top quality work.
Robert did an excellent job. He is very conscientious and articulate. He went over and beyond to get the job right. He did a great job cleaning up every day so we could use our kitchen overnight. We have already asked Robert to do two more projects.
I don't get Home Advisor/Angie sometimes. They labeled this job as "Install interior trim and decorative molding" when this job had nothing to do with any of that. I enlarged a finished-out drywall opening for a 36x 72-inch refrigerator to a 42x84 opening for a much larger refrigerator. The new finished-out opening had to be very precise and trying to achieve that with drywall takes quite a bit of skill especially when the 2 side walls were not plumb with each other, both fronts to back and side to side. The new refrigerator had a small trim kit attached to it which requires the wall opening to be level, plumb, and square for the trim of the refrigerator to butt up against it for a built-in look. There was quite a bit of other work involved as well but I don't want to waste any more of my time explaining the details. The clients were awesome and very appreciative. They also gave me $150 bonus :-)
I recently hired Robert to install a new range hood and related ducting to the outside of the house. I was initially impressed with Robert's work ethic when he came out to our home to size up the job and present me with a quote. Throughout the entire process, Robert always kept in touch and arrived promptly each day. Because of a piece of granite backsplash, Robert had to furr out the wall above the granite to accommodate the new range hood supporting bracket. This was anything but an easy install. Robert's exacting measurements saved the day, however, for they were right on the money. After the hood was up, Robert proceeded to cut out the openings for the duct work, installed new rigid vent pipes through the ceiling into the attic, installed the roof vent, connected the vent pipes to the roof vent, and built a sheetrock housing for the vent pipe above our cabinet (this included taping, floating and texturing this housing). Again, Robert's measurements and overall skill resulted in a stunning addition to our kitchen. I should note that Robert had to spend a considerable amount of time in our very cramped attic measuring where to cut the holes in our ceiling and roof for the vent pipe. Robert was the consummate professional, however, and never complained about the heat or working conditions in the attic. I strongly recommend Robert for any house projects one may have, for he is skilled in all facets of home construction.
Outstanding .. the very best
Robert takes pride in his work.
Robert was very professional and did excellent work. We will definitely consider hiring him again in the future.
We give Robert our highest craftsman recommendation! IF you care about the planning, the foundation, the interior structure, and the finished product, then Robert is the right person for your project. Robert built us a raised patio extension of composite Trex decking with pressure treated base, fully enclosed, with steps. He started when he promised, he worked every day until completed, and he cleaned up the job site every day. The funding and payment schedule was easy to agree too. Further, if you care about craft, here are some of the smaller items I saw on the jobsite. Robert leveled five sawhorses and put the 20 foot boards stacked on each other, to keep them level, and by stacking, kept them from premature bowing. He prepared each 4x4 post with tar to prevent water decaying the wood, before cementing in the ground. He created a concrete beam, with rebar and driven to the bedrock for the deck center supports, and even smoothed and curved the edges of the concrete, for a beam that will Never! be seen again. He screwed every board with three screws, instead of the cheap nail gun approach. He bevel cut any support blocking boards that normally would be flat, but with the bevel the water will run off instead of pool and possibly cause decay! He used 12รข centers to make sure that the flexible trex does not have any flex in the deck. The 4x4 posts were dado cut to support the structure, instead of just screwed to the side. I laugh that this deck will live a 1000 years! We love it. WE will use Robert again for any project in his specialties.
Robert did an excellent job. Cleaned the worksite before he left. He guarantees his work. I will use him again.
Robert is a true craftsman! Other contractors told my husband and me that our deck needed to be replaced with a new one. We really didn't have the money for a brand new deck and Robert was willing to use his expertise to repair... rebuild, renew our existing deck. That is exactly what he did! He is honest, trustworthy, and dedicated to producing the best quality work. We will definitely call him again when we have another project needing his expertise. Thank you Robert!
