Definitive Paint & Design

If you want professional, quality work that comes in on agreed price and in a timely manor this is the company you want. My job was not an easy one (lots of drywall damage) but it all looks brand new. I highly recommend Definitive Paint and Design.

Gabe Knapp, owner of Definitive Paint & Design is reliable and a perfectionist. The job of painting our kitchen cabinets white involved much prep work, which was done as expected and finished promptly. The kitchen looks beautiful and I would (and have) recommended Definitive Paint & Design to others.

Painting sure has gotten expensive!! but these guys (Gabe and Angelo) did a great job! very personable and professional! i'll be calling them back when i need a painter again!

This is the second time we hired Definitive Paint & Design. Gabe Knapp and his crew did such a fantastic job painting my kitchen cabinets in Feb of 2019, that we decided to have them paint the trim on 3 levels of our house. Gabe came to my rescue when another painter failed to show up just before winter. He was extremely pleasant to work with and went out of his way to complete the job before winter weather arrived. He seems very knowledgeable as to the detailed required to do a quality, last thing paint job. I was pleased to learn that Gabe is also a minister. I was very happy with his work.

Gabe and his crew painted my entire house, ceilings, walls, doors and some cabinetry. They did quality work and were very courteous and respectful. They cleaned up each day before they left and arrived on time. The finished job exceeded my expectations and my entire family was impressed. I would hire Gabe and his crew anytime and have recommended them to others.

too hurried for pricing painting and increased price on second visit, did not prep and clean walls prior to painting. Left painters tape painted in place. Failed to finish job after calls for him to return. These other reviews are not anywhere close to our experience. in fact I cannot believe they are real experiences.

Gabe and his team did an excellent job painting my living room area that had a lot of soot from a faulty LPG fireplace. From the beginning, Gabe's communication was great, a critical piece for me to do business if any contractor. I typically sleep until early afternoon (I'm on a "midnight shift" type of schedule even though I'm retired!) with Gabe and his team starting their work around 0900 hrs.. They knew about my sleeping habits and not once did they wake me up...extremely courteous. Each day before leaving, they worked to assure I had access to my TV and computer, again very courteous. Besides all this, my interactions with them was always a pleasure, they are a very friendly bunch of guys. I need to also give a shout out to Gabe's wife, who came over to my home to help me pick out the colors for the ceiling and walls. No surprise, she too was just a pleasure to work with. Bottom line, I can't say enough good things about Gabe's company. I've already committed to having them come back this Spring to paint my bedroom (please note that my living room and bedroom amount to ~2,000 sq.ft.) and most likely my master bathroom. Highly recommend Definitive Paint & Design!

Gabe and his crew did an absolutely PERFECT job re-staining and painting the exterior of our home overlooking Crystal Lake. We are SO happy with their work! 1. Gabe was great with communication from the beginning with the bid through the completion of the job. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with. 2. The attention to detail was AMAZING! Our home has cedar shingles and lots of trim, and every shingle and edge looks perfect. 3. Everything about the job was very organized. Everything was cleaned up beautifully every evening. They even made sure the baby gate was back in place that keeps my pup from leaving the deck! Thank you Gabe, Dustin, and Angelo for making our home look new again! We highly recommend Definitive Paint and Design and look forward to having them do our projects in the future!
