Scott came to my home to give me an estimate on remodeling my existing pool. He was very friendly and explained the whole process to me, I was especially impressed that it was a family owned and operated company for over 46 years and really cared about their clients. I was told they do not sub out any of their work, it is all their guys and I was told they would never start the job without a permit, all key reasons I chose to go with them. Both statements were not true, even after asking if we have a permit on two occasions and being told yes, I found out that they in fact had done all the necessary work up to the first inspection WITHOUT A PERMIT and that work had taken over 8 weeks. That explained the weeks of delay (they were stalling hoping the permit would be issued). Once permit was issued, we failed two inspections but no one (Daniel and job supervisor) from Custom Pools ever took the time to come out and see what was going on or apologize. When we finally got OK to pour concrete, a sub contractor concrete company did the work, not their own guys. Besides taking over 3 mos to complete the job, and me having to initiate the phone calls to find out what / when things were happening, and catching them in lies and conflicting stories from the sub contractors, my pool is done. I feel abused and taken advantage of. I relied on them being a reputable and honest company, my experience was far from that. Beware.

The entire experience was great. The work was completed when they said it would be. The finished project was close to perfect. Daniel was great. If I had it to do all over again these are the guys I would want on my project

Great price for fair price. $12,500 for pebble and tile in a 40,000 gallon pool. Not the fastest service in the world, took about 1 month.

Be aware that timelines given by the sales reps arent set in stone. Issues come up and crews get delayed when doing a big project or remodel. Anticipated time to completion is not an exact thing. My project pushed out at least a week due to labor shortages and big projects ahead of me that didnt finish on time. Its just like going to the doctor or DMV and waiting even though you have an appointment.
