This is an EXCELLENT company. Isaac was fantastic!!! His crew was the BEST!! They were very professional and did SUPERB work. The prices were reasonable and you DIDN'T feel as if you were being ROBBED! In fact, they did such good jobs, that two of my neighbors hired them to do work for them... one right there on the spot as soon as they finished mine. I have Several more jobs that I intend to hire them to do. I am so glad that he (Isaac) was the person who responded to my search on Home Advisors.

Reasonably priced and they were here when they said they would be here. The only thing I would have done differently if I had it to do over is to get a more detailed estimate in writing. The tree crew wasn't going to trim some of the branches that I had specifically pointed out to Isec as needing to be trimmed. However, Isec took care of it and got the branches I asked them to get. I was pleased with the final outcome and would recommend this company.

Ihave dealt with several tree companies and this was thew best experience I had with one, Isac is the owner and he is a man of his word. When he tells you he will be there, he is there. He has a very good crew and they pay attention all detail and are a safe and and great crew to deal with. Their prices are excellent and they do exactly what they =say they will. I would recommend them to ALL!!!

I had had several estimates from various companies during the past few years to take down and grind a huge oak tree in my back yard that was fenced in. The estimates were twice the amount quoted to me by Chop Chop. They did a great job and now I have sunlight in my back yard and no roots,

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
