I would highly recommend Chimney Experts! I had issues with my chimney cap not staying secure during high winds/storms. Last year I received a quote for about $500 from another company. Due to my procrastination the quote expired. When I called the same company back, the quote changed from $500 to $1500! I found Chimney Experts with a Google search, read the reviews and gave them a call. David came out the same day to take a look at the damage and said he could fix it at a fraction of the cost. By the end of business the next day the work was completed and my bill was $350 compared to $1500. I greatly appreciate David’s honesty and the integrity of this company.

Understand that tuck pointing is NOT what will be performed, but rather a synthetic caulk. The process may work keeping the water out, but the appearance of the chimney will not improve. If you want your chimney to look like the day it was built, you might look elsewhere. Otherwise, communication was good and follow-up was quick. I think Chimney Experts knows what they are doing. My only problem is the final appearance.

Tuckpointing was never on the estimate (which was approved by Tim). When the estimate is sent, it appears kind of like a menu, the item, with a brief description. Tim had two items on his paperwork waterproofing and mortar repair. The mortar repair has a brief description of synthetic mortar repair. The synthetic mortar repair material is what I have chosen to use on my own chimney at home as its color tends to match better than new mortar. It is made specifically for the repair performed, by the manufacturer of the mortar. Tim had called because he had a leak. Tim now does not have a leak. I will gladly post before and after pictures of this
