Cleaned my chimney and fixed my fire place damper, told we us everything we needed to know about my fireplace and very professional.

Saul was hands down the most professional and helpful craftsman that I’ve seen in a long time. I am ‘old school’ and am often disappointed with the so-called professionals that I’ve been having to hire to maintain my house & property. Saul inspected all chimneys of my home and then we had a REAL conversation about the what, why and the how. He explained everything about the problem and the solutions —- and without the ‘double-talk I often get from many other repair/maintenance contractors. Saul was straight-forward and, as it turned out, trustworthy. He and his workers cleaned and lined the furnace flue, repaired the chimney and replaced the chimney cap. They got the job done quickly and done well, and within my fair price budget. I do not often write Reviews, but I have no problem in highly recommending Saul of Chimney Safe of CT to address your home’s chimney needs.

He was very punctual, detail-oriented, and friendly while explaining the situation with my chimney. I have been living in my condo for four years, and I never realized that the chimney needed repairs until he checked it outside. He was very responsible and honest throughout the process. My chimney was significantly cracked and had pieces of brick falling off of it. Additionally, I was getting water in my fireplace every time it rained hard. I called Saul at Chimney Safe; he scheduled an appointment immediately and was prompt in arriving. After thoroughly inspecting my fireplace, going into the crawlspace in the lower level of the house to look at the boiler/furnace, and going onto the roof to check the chimney (something none of the other contractors I had out did), Saul gave me an extremely good quote to do a substantial rebuild of my chimney. He also provided me with some tips on how to more efficiently use my fireplace. Saul is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and friendly with a great work ethic. The completed chimney looks so good that two roofing contractors who were at my house the next day both commented on the quality and craftsmanship. I wholeheartedly recommend Saul and Chimney Safe, and would definitely use them in the future.

Saul is a consummate professional, incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and hardworking. He thoroughly inspected my fireplace, the crawlspace where my boiler/furnace are, and the chimney from the roof. In explaining the job to me, he also provided some tips for a more efficient use of my fireplace. He gave me an extremely good quote on a substantial chimney rebuild, and came to do the work the next day. Over two days, Saul worked tirelessly to rebuild the chimney, and left the area immaculate afterwards. He is coming back in a few days to install a new cap and to clean my fireplace and and oil flue as part of the job. I had two roofing companies out to my house the next day and both raved about how good my chimney looked. I recommend Chimney Safe 100% and look forward to working with them again should the need arise.

He did a grrrrrreat job cleaning the pellet stove but really was not qualified to fix it, and did not.

Rebuilt top part of my chimney which was falling apart. Rebuilt top part of both Flues and installed stainless steel liner down burner flue. Also repointed front steps and repaired concrete corner of rear porch. Excellent work. Clean, neat and fair pricing. Would strongly recommend. Saul knows his trade.
