We clean chimneys the right way so you can safely enjoy your fireplace. As licensed masonry contractors and experienced chimney sweeps we clean and inspect your chimney and fireplace and give you a printed inspection report. We service all types of fireplaces and chimneys and can do all sorts of repairs. We also clean out clothes dryer ducts from the inside out and exit in to leave your vent free of lint. This helps reduce the risk of fires. If you'd like to bundle this with whole house air duct/furnace duct cleaning we do that as well. Our technicians are fully trained, back ground checked and drug tested to ensure your safety. We are a family owned and operated business in San Jose since 1990. State License #678096.

How will you clean my chimney?

We first cover the opening of your fireplace. Then we go to the roof and inspect the exterior and top of the chimney. We then remove the cap/spark arrestor and clean from the top down. We then place a fan on top of the flue blowing outward to ensure the flow of particles is moving up and out of the chimney while we clean. Then we go to the bottom and wearing a soot suit and respirator we clean from the bottom up. We sweep and vacuum the firebox. Then we go back up and remove the fan, reinstall the cap/spark arrestor and return with a complete written report on our inspection of the chimney. If there are any hazards we will notify you along with any recommended solution. If there are no hazards noted, we will let you know that as well. We stand by our work and have a no mess guarantee.

Clean and Inspect a Chimney or Fireplace- For Business

I have used Chimney Clean Co for 9 years now. The technicians are always on time and do great work. True to their name, they leave my home and chimney clean as a whistle! There?s never any residual ash or dust. I especially appreciate that. Last time I had the work done, the technician, Dan, replaced the chimney cap as well. Overall a great company to work with. I highly recommend them.

Professional, friendly, on time, great work. Cleaned up and very careful with our indoor stuff he had to move to get into fireplace (which we don't use anymore). Luis was top notch. Office person was responsive and quick too. Very clear on questions and what would be done. We used them 30 years ago to put on a chimney cap. A storm last week took out a bunch in our neighborhood !

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
