We had 3800sq ft paver project to cover our pool decking, involved a staircase, and a firepit, also had installed black border pavers and black paver bads seperating the flags of concrete up a 175' new concrete driveway. If you are looking for honest,/OCD type/ pay attention to details type of contractor Derek and his crew is where you will find them. Wish there was a way to upload some photos, they completely transformed our pool and patio and exceed our expectations every step of the way.

Great experience and excellent communication!! Paver installation was first class

We hired Capital City Patios to basically redo our sod backyard by removing all of the grass, adding a hardscape of pavers, extend our concrete patio by two feet to accommodate a manufactured pergola, which they also assembled on site. Derek and Jason toiled away in our yard over approximately four weeks, which was slightly longer than the original time estimate due to many rainy days that made working with heavy equipment or otherwise impossible. Derek in particular took our hand drawn plan, helped us choose pavers and other materials, and laying out and recommended several good alterations to our plan, and got the job done in a fashion that exceeded our expectations -- and our hopes. We were very pleased with the excellence of the work done, their coming when promised, overcoming the awful weather, being a good team to work with and just doing everything they promised as promised. I would be remiss not to mention that not only did their work product excel, but we felt that we were an important customer in all our interactions. They treated our property with care and respect -- one indication of the care and pride they take in their work was that every day they cleaned up the street and driveway when we had deliveries of things like sand and block, and they cleaned up after hauling what must have been tons of dirt to the curb and loading it for disposal. They made sure that our home did not look like a disaster area without our having even thought to ask for the effort. Derek gave us what I thought was a very fair price for the work done, including several changes we asked for as work progressed, such as adding rock to the drainage area beyond original area we had requested (we underestimated the width of the drainage area and had a heavy rain that exposed our error) and doing plumbing work to relocate the irrigation valves which were installed by the developer and add two additional valves for my planned drip system. The changes were made for what I saw as very fair price adjustments and very accommodating to our evolving recognition of what we wanted done. This was my first engagement of a contractor in our new home of South Carolina and I only learned of Derek's company because of HomeAdvisor and the reviews of others. If we have opportunity or need for additional work in the future, we would absolutely hire Derek's company again.

Derek and his crew (Jason and Brian) were very professional and dedicated. I hired Capital City Patios for two jobs. First one was for landscaping on a steep bank in my backyard that needed soil and sod, and he brought in great A quality materials. Second job install a french drain along the back and down each side of my home. They could not use the equipment because of location so they dug the drain by hand. Derek and his crew worked endlessly from start to finish. This is the second time I have hired Derek. I can count on his knowledge, dependability and quality of his work.

I interviewed 3 companies to do my outdoor patio and fire pit. Derek Brasington with Capital City Patios was the only guy that brought pictures of his prior work and also had the creative vision to conceptualize our thoughts and give us the feedback we needed to get our project done perfectly. He also kept us from making design decisions we would have regretted later. His quote was spot on with one other and well below the third quote. But this wasnâ t a case of â you get what you paid for.â We got far more in quality and appearance that we could have hoped for. He also took care to do the best he could to protect the rest of our yard as they brought in all the equipment and stone pavers. They didnâ t mind that we checked on them and Derek answered all our questions throughout the project. There is no other company I would hire for custom stone patios or driveways.
